Rage was the only emotion that came to Natsuko's mind as she watched Hisoka stroll casually out to the balcony to meet Illumi. They spoke in hushed voices, Hisoka chuckling in his rich tone, and Illumi responding in his monotone charade.
She fastened the clasp on her heels, and she slipped her extendable iron rod into her ankle strap as she made her way towards the balcony to meet them.
"Ahh, all ready then?" Illumi said emotionlessly as if he hadn't just witnessed Natsuko's near orgasm.
"Yup," Natsuko replied shakily, the heat of the prior moment still looming in her brain.
She couldn't face Hisoka as she felt his entertained expression burn through the side of her face.
"Alright then, let's go," Illumi said bluntly.
He turned and swiftly threw himself over the balcony, Natusko had seen him do so before—but this was before she knew how high a floor they were on.
She turned to Hisoka nervously.
Before she had a chance to say anything he turned his back to her, "hop on then" he grinned.
She boosted herself onto his back and wrapped her arms and legs around his muscular form as he hopped on to the rail of the balcony.
He balanced like a cat on the thin metal railing, "hold on little girl," she could feel the smile spreading across his face.
As the words flowed out of his mouth he raised his arms above his head and proceeded to swan dive off the edge.
Natsuko closed her eyes as the wind whipped past her face, her head felt light and dizzy as the ground approached faster by the second, she let out a small scream and opened her eyes. The magician's pink hair whipped past her cheeks as she saw the dusky city street growing closer and closer in the dim moonlight. She pressed her eyes shut again and let out a small whimper into the back of his shoulders.
She felt the Magician chuckling wildly.
Just then, she felt herself whip around and begin to ascend.
She squinted and saw one of his fingers outstretched, his Bungee Gum aura sticking to the side of a building as they swung through the night air.
The scene vaguely reminded her of some kinda fucked up Spiderman moment, except she was clinging to the villain instead of a hero, pursuing an elite assassin to her possible death.
As they swung she opened her eyes further, she saw Illumi running along the tops of buildings, nimbly leaping over the gaps without care.
They reached the end of the inner city, industrial wasteland stretched out ahead of them for grim miles. They landed with a barely audible thud on the pavement and she dropped off of Hisoka's back.
Natsuko's legs shook, relieved with the feeling of solid ground under her feet once again.
Illumi strode up behind them, "only a little farther, I'm sure you're familiar with the place Hisoka," with that he took off running at a blinding speed between the industrial structures.
Something about this place gave Natsuko a haunting sense of familiarity that struck panic into her heart.
Hisoka turned to her, stretching his arms above his head, "I assume you can run by yourself?" he jested mockingly.
She frowned and pushed off her right foot.
She started in the direction she had seen Illumi going, she couldn't see him, but she could feel his cool aura up ahead. Hisoka appeared beside her, his eyes wide with bloodlust. He was a different person than at dinner, his expression was wild, filled with danger and with vicious intent.
He smiled a maniacal grin and shot a hand out behind her, she dodged the attack easily—rolling to her right and springing off her left foot to return a high flying kick in his direction. He maneuvered out of the way of her leg, chuckling wildly as he continued running.
When she landed back on the ground, Natsuko's aura was pulsing. She was gritting her teeth but willed a burst of speed towards Hisoka. As she zoned in on her target she concealed her presence.
The Magician slowed, searching around him.
Suddenly, Natsuko plummeted from above, driving both feet into the Magician's shoulders and jumping ahead of him landing on all fours.
He stumbled forward, stopping himself with his palm to the ground.
"What the fuck was that about?" she growled at him, her entire body tensing for another attack.
He rose his face, expression soft and innocent, "I merely wanted to test you. To warm you up a little.♥"
His eyes were unyielding, but Natsuko's body still pulsed with rage.
He stepped towards her and extended a hand. Natsuko jumped backward, not willing to take any risks.
"Oh come, don't be like that," as he flicked his finger towards himself, Natsuko felt a pulling sensation on her chest as her body flung towards him.
Fucking Bungee Gum.
She careened forward at the forceful jerk, landing at his feet in a small heap.
He crouched and lifted her by her waist, "silly girl. You must always expect the unexpected," he said with a warm grin. "I wouldn't want Illumi accidentally killing you now," he trilled setting her on her feet.
"I'll be fine," she spat as she hit his arms away.
He laughed merrily as he released his bungee gum and began to walk towards the entrance of a dingy warehouse. She stared at his confident stride, enraged.
Fire threatened to surge from her palms, but she only let weak sparks fly from her fingers.
"Coming?" he asked with a smirk as he pushed the metal door and disappeared inside.
Natsuko took a deep breath and pushed through the heavy door as well.
As it clicked shut behind her, she was plunged into absolute darkness.
