shell shock /ˈSHel ˌSHäk/ noun psychological disturbance caused by prolonged exposure to active warfare, especially being under bombardment.
Shell shock is like PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) but is confined to combat PTSD. This term was used in the World Wars when there wasn't the term "PTSD" yet.
I decided to write this because after reading some books that included how much people that served in the war suffered from PTSD, I was intrigued by the subject. I have yet to have seen a warrior cat fanfiction that broached the topic of shell shock, so I decided to make a fanfiction and help raise awareness about this condition. I'm sorry if I'm not perfect in portraying shell shock, but I'm trying to make is as accurate as possible.
