(Hey sorry I haven't posted in a week, I've been more busy writing on my other DQB2 story, which I HIGHLY recommend bc I put lots of effort into it and your views mean the world to me 😳, (it's called "To the end and back for you" it's really good). But anyway, I've also thought about broadening the requests for this?? Thinking about writing some Warwick/Anessa smut and might publish it if you guys are down,,, please interact with me i promise I am kind...
Anyway this one was a request from peachyvies!!! I hope you like it, I had a lot of fun writing it so 😳😳)

The past few weeks have been painfully busy, Annesa deciding I make a good companion for battle. Not that I mind getting to patrol around and beat the crap out of monsters at all, its just I’ve had to spend so much time away from Builder. I’ve probably slept in the same bed as him three times in the last four weeks since i’ve been so busy. I miss his late night kisses and cuddles so much. Annesa spends all night going over battle strategies, which is boring since I just start smashing. What’s the point of planning? Just hit them over the head a few times, it’ll be fine. Currently, I walk along the beach with Annesa, “What are we after now?”
“Rosie mentioned seeing a giant crabber-dabber-doo around here. Figured we could at least check it out.”

“Oh yeah, I remember her saying that.” I reach for my hammer, fingers curling around the handle, “After this I can go visit Builder right?”
Annesa nods, her fingers straying towards her sword and eyes scanning for the giant crustacean, “Yes, but you better make it count. We’ll be gone for a few weeks after today.”
    I look at her, “What?”
“Giant golems around the explorer shores for us to beat.”
“Oh… Builder will be bummed.” I sigh, kicking my feet.
The general hushes me, voice dropping to a whisper, “You hear that?”
I glance around, “is that the crab?”
She nods and points in the opposite direction, planning for us to catch the crab by surprise, “Don’t attack until I give the signal.” she grumbles.

I follow her guidance, creeping the opposite way and studying the beast. The crab is a bright green, mouth foaming as it shuffles along the beach. I spy Anessa on the other side, blue eyes narrowed towards our foe as she studies it for a weak spot. I glance at the mountainside before me, spotting a ledge that would easily allow me to jump on the giant monster. I grab onto the cliff face, pulling myself up and standing on the ledge, watching the beast shuffle with a grin. I hear Anessa hiss at me, glaring, “Malroth, no.”
“What?” I call, the monster turning its sights on me, “You said to attack it! That’s my thing!” I smile wide and charge, feeling my heart pound in my chest, loving the thrill of a good fight.

The crab lets out a noise of startlement as I leap from the ledge, drawing my giant hammer with a heaved battle cry, my fingers curling around the handle as I bring it down hard on its head. The crabber-dabber-doo snarls at me as I leap off its back, rolling onto the ground and hurrying to my feet and taking off in a run to keep it on its toes. It swings its beastly pinchers just to be met with my hammer, smacking it back. Anessa is quick to my side, sword drawn. I smile at her, “You were taking too long.”
She fends off the creature with mighty blows from her blade, angering the creature even more, “You really shouldn't throw yourself out there like that.” we seperate when its claw slams down between us, a hiss escaping the crabber-dabber-doo’s foamed mouth as we scatter.

“I just wanna start clobbering!” I chuckle, swinging my weapon of choice against its legs as it swings at Anessa.

“You never change do you Malroth? Always head first into a fight!” She grunts in effort as she dodges an attack, smiling.

When the crab turns on me I’m ready, watching as it attempts to crush me with its claws. I wait until it draws the claw back to leap, grabbing onto it and letting it hurl me towards its body. I prepare to swing, knowing one more heavy blow should finish the job. It realizes i'm there however, tossing me up into the air. I twist midair, watching as Anessa distracts it from being able to take advantage of my free fall. I swing with a mighty heave, the crabber-dabber-doo hissing in fury as I bring the mallet down onto it and crumples, leaving me to drop to the ground when it is defeated. I wipe sweat off my brow, setting my hands on my hips, “Must you always doubt my methods?”
“As a soldier, your very existence goes against everything I’ve ever been taught.” Anessa laughs, tucking her weapon away as we walk back towards the inhabited parts of the island of awakening.
