Jarbyn AU (Betrothed)

Chapter 6

Jack's POV:-
It's been a week since Corbyn moved in and I honestly am pissed off at this point. Why did him and his family have to come live at our house? I had to share a bed with him. Go to school with him everyday. And to top it all off. I had to see him everyday. I still hadn't told my girlfriend about him. I honestly didn't want to leave her but this situation wasn't actually helping with it.

I had opted to ignore Corbyn at all costs. He asked me several times if anything was wrong and I just completely ignored the question. For one it pissed me off because shouldn't he know what was wrong because he was the one who caused it? And second I wasn't really actually interested in answering his questions so I just kept my mouth shut everytime he asked me.

I learned from his parents that today was the day his other best friends, Eben and Jonah were arriving. Great. New company. That was partly the reason why I was feeling really pissed.
I completely ignored Corbyn as usual on the ride home and as soon as we arrived, I got out and went inside, going up to our room and immediately getting in the shower. I could care less about anything right now. I just wanted to get cleaned and relax myself.

After showering, I changed into a pair of sweatpants with a comfortable black shirt with white dots. I made my way downstairs and sat at the table. I greeted everyone as they came in. Corbyn came down ten minutes later and sat down beside me at the dinner table. I just rolled my eyes, completely ignoring him and focusing my attention on the food in front of me, munching and occasionally talking to my mother or Corbyn's parents.

After dinner, Corbyn got up and went upstairs probably to do his homework. I had done mine in school when I had a free period today.

I went to the TV lounge and decided to watch something. I turned on the TV and started watching Glee which was on right now.

Half an hour later, all of the family gathered up in the living room to watch a movie and we all sat down with snacks. Half way through the movie we had to pause it because we had ran out of snacks and mine and Corbyn's mother went to get them. Just then Corbyn asked me the usual question he had been asking for the past week. I just glared at him and didn't answer instead looking in front of me. I knew everyone's attention was directed towards us now as the movie had been paused.

"Jack. Honey", I heard my mother say from the doorway"Corbyn asked you a question?".

I glanced at her then looked at Corbyn, rolling my eyes. Okay. I was really starting to get pissed off. I had had enough so I burst.

"You fucking ruined everything. You came into my life without any invitation. You ruined my future. I have a girlfriend and I had planned our future so well. We were going to get married and live our future happily. But now because of you my future is fucking ruined. All you're going to do is take me away from my family", I said in a much louder voice glaring at Corbyn as I stood up.

I could see the shocked and hurt expression on Corbyn's face as soon as I said those words. I looked around and saw everyone looking shocked.

I turned towards Corbyn and saw tears in his eyes.

"Jack Robert Avery", my mother said in a shocked voice"That is NOT how you speak to your fiancée. I am ashamed of you".

I was still looking at Corbyn and saw him take a deep breath.

"Excuse me", he whispered before running out of the room. I stood there shocked. What had I done? I had hurt Corbyn whilst feeling angry about something he had no control over. I suddenly felt really guilty.

I started to make my way towards the door when I heard my mother's voice call out.

"And where do you think you're going?", she said in an angry voice. I looked at her. She looked extremely pissed. I had never seen my mother look so angry.

I gulped and said in a low voice,"I uh. Was going to go apologize. I'm sorry. I really am. And I know it was bad but I just couldn't control myself".

"You shouldn't be telling us this", Corbyn's mother said softly to me rubbing my shoulder."Go".

I nodded and made my way upstairs to mine and Corbyn's bedroom knocking on the door softly before entering.
