Stockholm's metro system has always been a busy place; people who have been to the area will know that the metro began construction in the 1930's and was then developed in the 1950's, where it ended up stretching for miles and consisting of at least a hundred stations. Locals and visitors to the metro will know that the trains running on this line were once a green colour and not blue as they are in the modern day.

But according to local legend; it was in this metro system that a mysterious train first appeared, one that stood out from the rest due to the fact that it was a plain silver and not green or blue like the other trains on the line. This train became known as the Silverpilen (Or Silver Arrow) and was soon to be the focus of many urban legends. Some say that it would only appear once a year at midnight and those who got on, never got off again while others say that it can be seen in abandoned subway tunnels travelling along the line as if it was open. But the most interesting stories connected this mysterious spectral locomotive to an abandoned station: The Kymlinge. This location was abandoned in the 1970's and is said to be haunted by the Silverpilen; which led to the local saying "Only the dead get off at Kymlinge".

This story will be about one ghost hunter's investigation into this mysterious urban legend, what will he find at Kymlinge? Will he see this elusive ghost train? And most importantly, is there any truth to the stories? Read on, if you dare...
