Darkness.God, she hated the darkness; you never knew what was out there. There could be some slavering monster next to you and you would never know. She held her breath as pounding footsteps seemed to get closer and closer. She counted the men as they ran past shouting after each other. One...two...three...four...five. It seemed none had thought to check for her in any alleys. But weren't there seven men earlier? Where are the other two? She turned her head at a deep sigh coming from deeper in the darkness of the alleyway. The missing two men stood behind her, both aiming guns at her forehead. She could hear the other five men return to her hiding spot, blocking all escape routes. The bearded of the two men infront of her looked up at the others and opened his voice to speak.
“Grab her,” his deep, stentorian voice seemed too loud in the quiet alley.
