Emily's POV

"Thanks doctor" the woman in her late fifty said to me. I gave her a warm smile and hug her. "Glad that you're getting better ma'am" I said. I exit her room and walk towards the next room.

As I was about to enter, my phone vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and look at the caller ID before answering it.

"Mom, how are you?" I asked as her cheer voice greet me.

"Emily, you're going home early today right? Your father and I have an important thing to say" mom said sounding serious.

"Oooookay. I'll try. See you later, then" I said ending the call. What is so important that I have to go back early?

At Emily's house...

"Mom no. I'm not going to marry him. Not with Mark Tuan!" I let out my anger towards my parent. Why I have to marry him? We dislike each other's presence so much!

"Emily Lee. I don't except no for an answer" dad said. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arm. "It's for your own good. Mark is such a nice young man. You'll be happy with him" mom said.

"You're saying that Lee Jihoon is not good enough for me?" I asked them. "He just want your money. That's it. A man like him cannot be trusted" dad said.

I let out a loud and hard sigh. I took my handbag. "Fine then. But don't expect me to lead a happy life after this. I don't guarantee anything" I said and walk to my room.

Mark's POV

"But-"

"No but young man. Marry her or I'll cut your expenses" dad said in a serious tone. I look at my mom. "Why Emily? Why don't Nana?" I asked.

"Because Emily is way nicer than Nana and she's not a public figure" mom said. I sigh hard and close my eyes.

"If this is what you want, then no one must know about this. Only the closest out of the closest knows that I'm marrying her"
