Chapter One

  Azra Greer's P. O. V.

  I wake up to Addison playing with the collar that I have to wear all the time. She's trying to take it off of me.
"Addy you know not to take my collar off! It'll make me turn into one of my Dragons and then I'll get shocked by the bracelet on my wrist!" I whisper yell at her.
"I know Az but you don't hurt anybody when you turn! You normally just play around and lay down and let me pet you when you can transform and not get shocked." Addison whispers back.

Her parents and the council make me wear a collar and a wrist band so that I don't transform into my dragons. My collar has the power to keep me from shifting as long as it's not broken. The wrist band is for that if I do shift and it thinks I'm gonna hurt somebody, it sends really bad shock waves through me. It's really painful.
I start to stand up from my mattress that's laying on the floor and go to my closet with Addison following me.
"Aww Az you look so cute!" I hear Addison awe behind me. I look down and see that I'm in my wolf onesie. I look back at her and howl like a real wolf. She giggles and walks out of my room to get dressed.
I walk into my closet and reach in to grab my favorite outfit ever!

I have to dress close to what my monster is. Since I'm a Dragon most of my clothes look like I'm a dragon rider. Which is pretty cool! I love the way I get to dress though because I get to wear my weapons too. Addison loves this about who I am because that means I can protect her. Even though I'll get shocked afterwords.
I leave my room and walk down stairs to see Addison walking out the door to wait for me at Zeds house. Addisons parents have never liked me because of me being a monster. I run outside and skip to Addisons side to hold her hand.
"Sissy tan I wawk wif chu an Zeddy day?" I ask as I slip into my headspace.
Addisons looks down at me and smiles softly.
"Of course you can, sweety! We love walking to school with you! Your fun to walk with because we can skip and make Zed look funny by making him skip too!" Addy says as we skip to Zombietown.
"Yay! Tank chu sissy! Bukbuk nevew wets me wawk wif hims!" I say as I look down at the ground in sadness.
Addy stops at the foot of Zeds house and sits me down on the steps before walking up to the front door to knock. I sit down and play with my sword. I twirl it around and draw in the sand with it.
"Hey Azzy!" I hear Zed say happily.
"Hi Zeddy!" I exclaim as I jump up and give him a hug after putting away my sword.
He laughs and hugs me back.
"Come on lets head to school, so Adds can cheer and you can help me make posters for school president." Zed says as he grabs my hand and walks us to the school.

3 Hours Later

I walk out of science class and head to the woods to do my daily flight. The council allows me to have a daily flight in the middle of the school day as a class. The woods is part of the Forbidden Forest, but no ones ever bothered me out here. I know there's Werewolves out here because I talk to them through howling. It's fun when you find the right wolf to talk to. I talk to this girl named Willa a lot. She says she's the Alpha and thinks I could be one too. She's really cool.
I walk into my clearing and sit my backpack down before running and jumping into the air and turning into my black Dragon. Her names Syphon. She's a hybrid dragon.

  Hey Azra I see a boy down on the ground under ya do you want to give him a little scare? I hear Syphon asks through mindlink. I look down and see a boy with brown hair and a white patch on him forehead.
  No let's leave him be for now. We might come back later and give him a scare if he's still here. I say back as I watch him start to look around.
