what did she say? a crush? on lee donghyuck??
now, she's crazy.
"you didn't just say you had a crush on him." you were struggling to see the reason why people like him. to be exact, he was always trying to get your attention. he didn't like you but he was only trying to look out for you. as cold as he was to others, he'd never show his bad side to you.
"i do, ayumie. he even wanted to help me get my order to our table. i panicked so i declined." you put your head on the table and cursed at yourself.
you looked up at a fast tempo and glimpsed to the counter. he was standing there, only to be seen gazing at you again. the guy who waved at you just a while ago was back to being shy. only for show, of course.
"you realize you're talking about donghyuck, right?" you sighed. "he used to break hearts, mia."
"i know." she gave me a pitiful look. "but i can't help it. maybe he's a better person now. he might have changed."
well, she isn't wrong. he's not like the old him anymore.
"i mean. i can't do anything if you have a crush on him." you packed your stuff, putting the notes back in your bag. taking your drink, you perked up at your friend who glanced back at her crush. "we should go. you can complete your work in the lecture room. "she nodded before sighing and picking up her stuff.
before we could leave, you could hear your name being called out of the blue. it was a gentle voice which made you spin around immediately, curious about who it was.
you saw a guy jogging up to you. he was gorgeous. he had his chestnut hair styled up, making him look like he was made to fit him and not anybody else. the curves were messy but it pretty much suits him well. his smile was extremely attractive that you could have sworn your heart jumped. the last noticeable features were his eyelashes. any girl would kill for his long, gorgeous eyelashes. to summarize it, he was breathtaking. "hey, ayumie. would it be okay if i'd get your number? i've been meaning to talk to you ever since orientation week. i'm sorry if it's a little straight forward." he smiled in a way that made you feel so many things. looking away, you bit your lips as you hesitated to acknowledge. in the end, you did.
"i could give you mine but what will be your reason?" mia nudged your shoulder, giving you a signal that you should have just agreed in giving him what's yours.
"ah, i just wanted to be close to you now that you are included in my team." he grinned delightfully. "and also because donghyuck didn't want to give your number to me. so i thought i'd ask from you instead."
crap.
you tried to peek at your friend in the corner of your eye, hoping she didn't hear that. yes, you used to communicate with donghyuck. a lot. but you didn't want mia to know about it. she'll be asking about it more than she already is.
you took your time and gave your phone number to the guy. he made sure to give a proper goodbye before going off to his friends once again.
"you could save my contacts as jaemin. na jaemin." he waved one more time before seeing you off.
