That night when we got home, Bella told dad that she had homework and ran upstairs. He didn't notice the jumpy way she was acting because there was a basketball game on.

That night during my training session, this time with Alice as she helped me with my telekinesis, we suddenly came to a jolting halt, as Bella let out a small scream and a small thump.
"Hold on" I whispered, opening my door slightly and slipping out, closing the door quietly behind me.
"You ok Bells?" I whispered, coming into her room and witnessing her holding her head tightly.
"Yeah" she whispered back, "just a bad dream... I'll have a shower and go back to sleep, you should go back to bed too Juliet" she commented, before slipping past me and walking to the bathroom.
"Alright..." I muttered to myself questioningly, before going back to my room where Alice was waiting patiently, and shrugging "might need to be done for the night" I mumbled "I don't think Bella will be going back to sleep" nodding in understanding, Alice hugged me goodbye, before disappearing out my bedroom window.

I practically slumped down the stairs the next day, yesterday had been a nicer break from the supernatural than I thought it would be, but I was still exhausted. It was a feeling I was becoming unhappily familiar with... That, and headaches.
"Nice day out" Dad commented once both Bella and I were in the kitchen.
"Yes," Bella grinned happily, while I merely grunted.
Dad smiled happily at Bella before sending me a very not well-hidden look of concern.

The Cullen's were still out 'camping', so I stuck to Bella once we arrived at school, my headache sending me into a flat out foul mood so I told Bella that I wouldn't be talking today, that I had a headache and talking hurt... in reality, I was afraid of what I would say to anyone that was halfway pleasant.
"Bella! Julie!" Mike called and I gave a fake smile in his direction before looking back to my phone that was in my hand, texting a very concerned Edward, who informed me that Alice had a vision, and gave a very vague description that it had something to do with my future and to let them know if I thought anything was wrong.
Yeah... very helpful... what would even classify as 'something wrong' anyway?
When I asked my very valid question, he just answered, 'anything, anything at all'... stupid vampire...
"Hey Mike, sorry- Juliet's not talking at the moment, her head's hurting when she does..." Bella explained, her thoughts very loudly conveying that she was dreading how many times she was going to have to explain that.

Were people's voices always this damn loud?

"I never noticed before..." Mike hummed, catching a piece of Bella's hair between his fingers, totally oblivious to how she flinched away "your hair has red in it."
I actually had to bite my cheek from the sarcastic comment bubbling in my throat, about how I was surprised considering how much he watched her every damn move.

God, what was happening to me? Mike was my friend... well Bella's, but he had been nothing but pleasant to me!

"Only in the sun" Bella was clearly uncomfortable as he tucked the lock behind her ear.
"Great day, isn't it?"
"My kind of day... not so much Juliet's'" Bella looked at me worriedly, "I tried to convince her to stay home today, but..." my eye roll clearly conveyed what I thought about that idea.
Mike turned to me, slightly forced smile on his face, "Hey, can I talk to Bella for a moment?" Before I could actually answer, he continued, "thanks."
Oh great, people were actually going to go out of their way to annoy me today...
Giving a very obvious glare, I shouldered Mike on my way past him, very happy when he had to shuffle back at the force of my push.
I stormed into the girl's bathrooms, deciding that having a time out would help settle my anger, but it was only replaced with more agitation when I looked in my reflection, where blood was starting to roll out of my nose.
"Fucking really?" I spat, wetting a paper towel and cleaning away the blood, "I haven't had a damn blood nose since I was five and today of all days my body decides I needed one?" I could feel my teeth grinding together subconsciously as anger began making my head pulse, making my headache all the more present.

Walking in late to class, telling my teacher that I had a bloody nose, I made my way to my seat and checked my phone to find Bella had texted to tell me we were going to Port Angeles tonight for dress shopping.
"Awesome" I muttered sarcastically before laying my head on the desk in front of me, cursing absolutely everything that was going on wasn't Ed driving us? I text back, recalling the conversation from what seemed like forever ago.
"Ah..." Bella frowned, "I guess not..."
"I'll text him on the way there" I yawned.
"Thanks."

I could barely hold back the mean eye roll when I noticed Bella doing her ritual check of the school's vampire's table. The rest of the school day was just more of the same, only more boring without my friends, and more annoying with the stubborn headache and the slight worry that my nose would start bleeding again in front of the entire class.
I was eternally grateful when Bella told me that Jessica had called to cancel the plans, it gave me time to mope in silence and absolute darkness that I had thrown my room into, in desperate hopes that my headache would lessen now that I was by myself... It didn't work, and I was given another nose bleed to clean up in the dark for my troubles.
It was quite clear that dad and Bella were worried about me, especially when I said I didn't want any dinner, and quietly agreed to the postponed plans of going dress shopping tomorrow night.

The next day was almost as torturous as yesterday, and I was awoken with yet another nose bleed... I swear I was going to be setting some sort of record.
"Are you sure you're ok for today? I can drop you off after school if you insist on going there, you don't need to come shopping too." Bella sighed as she drove us to school, watching my stubborn expression double at her suggestion.

After school, Jessica followed Bella's truck home and as soon as we ditched our school books and grabbed our wallets, we were in Jessica's old white Mercury and on our way to our shopping trip.
