What Would You Do If You Are Found By Vampires, Then Forced To Marry The Vampire Prince?~33
"To your right! And hurry!" More tearing sounds. Gavin was really bent on chasing me down huh.
To my delight, I found the door that Alan had mentioned. I made a sprint straight towards the door, and it opened magically, revealing a dark forest beyond. Without thinking, I dashed blindly into the dark, still acutely aware of Alan reinforcing the other exit.
I gasped at the cool night air brushing across my skin. Sometime after running in the dark and gloomy forest, I began to slow down my pace and absorb my surroundings.
Where was I, exactly?
It was eerily quiet, except for my soft panting for breath. There were no signs of life, no sounds betraying the existance of other creatures. Just then, thunder boomed overhead. I shivered unvoluntarily.
How am I supposed to go back? Which direction am I heading towards anyway? In the end, I figured that I'd keep walking until I've gotten out of the forest, and, god save my soul, there could be all kinds of animals in here waiting to have me for supper.
All of a sudden, twigs snapped and the crunch of tree trunks being broken could be heard.
I was knocked face down onto the earth. Pungent scent of grass and moss infiltrated my senses. Behind me, I could hear the panting of the beast. THE beast.
"Do you really think you can run away?" Gavin's growled triumphantly.
Oh my god so what happened to Alan?
"I won't let you run away, sweet angel. After all, you belong to me. So let me see if my bride has ruined herself on this big day." He flipped me over roughly while I glared at him. If looks could burn, my eyes would have been laser beams, shooting straight at him.
"Beautiful." He stared in wonder, trailing his finger down my cheeks. It felt so creepy yet familiar, as though he had turn back to the person he used to be. This nostalgic feel was so eerily disturbing.
No. It was already over. I shouldn't let myself feel like this anymore. He had made the decision to leave, so it wouldn't be my fault if I do this-
"Uuuuuf!" Gavin yelled and clutched at his zipper area. He fell onto the earth writhing in pain, and I took the chance to flee.
However, I ran barely twenty steps away before he caught up with me. "Why, you insolent bitch!" His face was a mask of fury.
"Because." I feinted to the left, and ran to the right. With his vampire speed, he caught up with me ever so easily.
"These kind of kiddie games don't fool me, little angel. I say, why don't we head towards the little mountain and see a spectacular sight!" He pinned my arms to my back and began to herd me towards the direction he mentioned. "As you can see, it's already dark out here, so it'll be a pity for you to not know how your grave would look like. As such, I'd be your guaranteer and promise you that it's the most beautiful grave for a beautiful sorceress to have. And I hope you'll enjoy it. Tremendously."
He might not be serious, but I really need to get out of here fast. Who knows what this lunatic is planning. Yeah he says he's going to kill me, but I had doubts about it. Afterall, I still am the princess. I'll bet my own life that Jared would come to my rescue.
"Hurry up!"
"Okay, okay!" I was exasperated.
We continued walking, until the trees began to thin out and we emerged from the huge forest.
I had to agree that it was quite a beautiful sight. He had led us to a waterfall and the scenary took my breath away. However, what sent a shiver down my spine were the huge rocks jutting out awkwardly at the base of the waterfall. This was no joke. A trickle of sweat made its way down my temple.
"Oh, you're right, it's really beautiful." I tried to distract him. "You know, you really have a great sense of beauty!"
Seeming caught off guard, he replied gleefully, "Of course I have great taste! I'm a prince, for god's sake!" He released my wrists and strolled towards the waterfall. "And I do know that you'll paint it brilliantly with your blood spilt all over the rocks. It's halloween time, baby!" He shrieked.
This is real baaaad. I've got to get away somehow. I watched quietly as he laughed to himself and I decided running away would solve this problem. All that would happen was Gavin would catch up to me in no time and maybe just throw me off the cliff without further ado. An idea surfaced. What if, just what if, I charged at him and pushed him off the waterfall first?
