Tessa Kettles is from Kitchener, Ontario. She is a ringette goalie. In her lifetime she has suffered two concussions and has had to overcome a knee injury. She decided to write this novel to spread awareness about concussions and other injuries in sports. She found her passion for writing in sixth grade. She loves sports and has been involved in the sport since she was really young.
