"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" I screamed as I watched my mother shoot herself with her gun, the thud of her head hitting the ground echoing the room as I watched the life leave her eyes.
"I love you, Amara, goodbye..." she shakily whispered. She eyes closed slowly and she stopped moving
"Why did you have to leave mom, WHY" I screamed as my salty tears fell on her now dead body. I stayed there for hours, falling asleep beside her dead body
The fatal memory of my mother killing herself flashing through my eyes over and over again as stared at myself in this stupid old mirror, my nose touching the glass and my breath fogging up my perfect complexion. My reflection was the only thing that was keeping me sane but deep inside I knew that something wasn't right. The big question of why my mom gave into her sucial depression but decided to kill herself instead of getting help passed through my mind a few times as the ancient mirror shimmered in the dark depths of my room like a shiny star in the night's sky. I quickly turn my head, breaking my trance from the mirror to slowly navigate myself in the dark to my small bed. Thoughts still running 50 km a second as my straight light brown hair fanned across my pillow. Falling asleep to the sound of my Dad drinking and smoking all his pains away.
A faint light beamed on the mirror as carved letters appeared on the frame having a yellow gleam to them. The words formed the sentence " Die cum lamia manere cum autem venissent nocte morsu lamia" The mirror illuminated a bright white so bright that nothing else in the room could be seen but somehow Amara was still asleep. The brightness slowly faded away leaving a faint glow. Instead, there was a person in the mirror. It was almost hard to see but a young girl was wearing a black leather jacket that looked to be in her twenties with dark, almost pitch black hair and beetle black eyes with a severely inhumane pale complexion.
"Amara...", the girl persisted trying even harder to wake Amara up
"AMARA WAKE UP" the girl shouted, pressing her hands against the mirror
What is that voice?? I thought as I pressed my head further into my pillow blocking out the light. Wait light, what light? As far as I know, we only have one light bulb in our small house and that doesn't even work cause Dad spends all the money on beer and weed I thought. I lifted my head to investigate, my eyes swept around the room and all was fine until they landed on the mirror. I stare at the pale girl in the mirror in shock. Was I dreaming, this can't be real! How can a person be inside a mirror unless it was some fantasy story like snow white?
"Come here Amara," The girl asked as her eyes turned a deep shade of red
"No I am not coming," I thought as I took a step towards the mirror.
"I am not going", I thought as I took a few more steps getting closer to the mirror. It was like she was controlling me, my body moving without my consent just like a puppeteer moves it's marionette. I started walking faster, my nose bumping into the mirror as I felt a hand grab my wrist. It felt like I was being sucked into a tube, the mirror flashed a bright green, winds flowing at 50 Km a second. I felt like I was being spun around so fast, eyes shut tight limbs flying everywhere as I tried to free myself from her arm. "Ok just one more finger, ugh it's too strong," I thought as I felt the world cascade around me. Everything was getting darker and darker until I saw nothing.
"Done" The mysterious girl huffed as she got out on the other side of the mirror in the vampire kingdom of Terra tenebris, dragging the unconscious Amara along with her to her brother's office in the castle feeling like a dead weight.
Pets and maids alike turned their heads in shock at the mysterious girl dragging the foreign human, some even whispering in recognizing as they have overheard the plans of the Count and Countess but nobody recognized her as she was dressed so oddly for their time
