"You can never become a president, you're a female!" I remember being told this in my fifth-grade class in 2019. However, Today's world needs a president who's going to make a difference. Hello, I'm Addison and I plan on making that change. "Breaking news, on February 19, 2045, we have had an outbreak of violence in Lebanon Missouri, we are still counting the fatalities. We promise to keep everyone updated." I looked around as people are surrounding the televisions start panicking and calling families. Many people started crying as they were told their child, spouse, and or parent had died. I looked back at the television as the screen flickered, "Presidential election candidates registration due today at community baptist!" Today is my day. I turned away from the people and went to the church for the election. "Ma'am, are you qualified for the presidential position?" I went through the checklist in my head, a presidential candidate must be a natural-born citizen of the United States (check), a resident for at least fourteen years (check), and 35 years of age or older (check). "Yes ma'am I am," I responded as I handed her my ID, and my birth certificate (which I always have on me just in case). I waited for them to double-check all my items. "Ring, ring, ring" I looked at my phone to see my husband, Jacob Fraser, calling, I stared at it for a solid ten seconds and declined the call. Jacob and I have had a few arguments and sometimes to the point he hits me. I needed a distraction and if running for president helps then I'm all for it. "Alright, ma'am let's go meet your opponents!" I followed the lady into another room with 3 people. "This is Brittney Winter" the lady mentioned. I turned toward Brittney, an underweight female, average height with fair skin, blond hair naturally black seen from her roots, and black eyes, glasses. She grew up in a middle-class neighborhood. She currently isn't married due to no ring on her finger. "And this is Mason Sparkling" The lady didn't look very thrilled with Mason. I looked towards Mason as my mouth dropped. Mason is very tall, very well-built, in shape, and has red hair with baby blue eyes. He looks as if he could be a swimmer due to his fingers being wrinkly as if he was in the water for a while. He seems standoffish and absolutely not an extrovert. I gave him one last look as I continued to walk. "And finally this is Dexter Campbell" I looked over as my mind was still fixated on Mason. Dexter was a short man with a fine build, brown hair and brown eyes, he has glasses and looks way older than his age imma think had some type of addiction. From the looks of it, he doesn't seem very nice, he doesn't have any buttons on his clothes maybe a phobia of buttons. He has a blue stain on his shirt, maybe something blueberry. He has a ring on his finger so married obviously. "Hi, I'm Addison" I looked around the room as people started watching my every movement. Mason made a smirk and asked, "Single by chance?" I felt my cheeks redden "I suddenly remembered my husband. It's really bad I completely forgot about him "buzz, buzz." I looked at my phone, speaking of the devil. "Hello, Jacob what do you need?" I looked around and Mason is still staring at me "I wanted to let you know we are getting a divorce!" "Ight fine by me send the papers to the house and get out." I ended the call "Mason to answer your question I'm getting a divorce as of right now." He looked me up and down a few times before the lady walked back in. "Alright, this is gonna be everyone today, have fun campaigning." I grabbed my stuff and started to head out as I felt someone tug on my arm."hey do you think we could work together and if you become president I can be your vice president or vice versa?" Mason gently said. I looked at him as his eyes sparkled, "Of course, let's head over to my house and we can work on this." His face slowly lit up as he gave me a small smirk.
