Chapter 3
My phone started ringing but it wasn't the ringtone I had last night, It was a crowd booing slowly turning into a scream. I grabbed my phone as mason looked at me with a worried look. "It's just Lori, the secretary from yesterday who introduced us," I replied with relief. I answered the phone. "Addison, Mason and you need to do your campaign speech today." "Yes, ma'am we will do that." Lori was still talking as Mason came up from behind and placed his head in my neck. I took my left hand and played with his hair. "Lori, I understand. I will be there in a few hours." I ended the call before she could respond. I turned to Mason and I leaned into the point he could feel me breathing, I felt his body tense up, "Mason we gotta go do our campaign." He sunk into my body as I told him "I don't want to though" he responded as he pulled me close again. We were getting ready as mason walked towards me in a nice black suit and a solid black tie. He had his hair slicked to the side and I could already smell his cologne. He looked at me as I stood there in my seafoam blue dress that flows freely and goes to my knees, and in my white heels about two inches tall, As my Strawberry red hair flowed over my shoulders. "That dress makes your ocean blue eyes pop," mason said as a smirk formed across his face. He twirled me around "You're going to do a wonderful job today." I sunk into him as I hugged him. "Thank you so much." as much as I hate to admit it, I think I'm falling for Mason really bad. He shook me out of my head. "Addison are you okay?", I nodded and continued to hug him. We headed to the truck and we sat there for a little bit. Mason looked at me and grabbed my hand and moved it towards the gear shift and continued to hold my hand. I glanced out the window for a while until I started noticing how the truck slowed down. Mason pulled off to the shoulder. "Addison, can you get my tank top and jeans from the back seat?" he asked as I nodded and reached back for them. After I gave them to him, he changed out of his suit and put the dirty tank and jeans on and popped the hood. "Stay in here imma see what's wrong." I nodded, my phone started to buzz and when I glanced at it, I knew who it was. My phone lit up and Jacob's name appeared on the screen "Watch out maybe the truck will roll on top of him" I read and in an instant, I shouted "Moveeeee Mason !" I jumped out of the truck and mason was already beside me as the truck was rolling away. "What are we going to do ?" I asked as I started to cry. He hugged me tightly, "We are gonna get to the place and campaign our hearts out." I laughed and pulled out my phone and texted Lori to pick us up. I looked at Mason and he laid his tank top on the ground and I suddenly was speechless. He looked at me and smirked. I felt my shoulders relax. I didn't even know they tensed up."Are you going to sit down? There's no reason to stand in heels while we wait on Lori." I nodded "Where are you going to sit?" he looked at me as if I had something stupid. "Addison I have jeans on, not a suit, I'm sitting on the ground." He laughed as I looked down. He pulled me down and I fell on his lap. "Oh, so that's where you want to sit?" I laughed shyly as he smirked. A few hours later a silver 2012 dodge avenger drove up next to us Mason gently lifted me up and put his tank top back on. I looked in the window and it was Lori. "Hop in, and Mason I got you a new suit in the back" she hollered. I opened the front door as mason opened the back. I felt him touch my shoulder. I felt relaxed for a few seconds until he let go.
