I sat there listening to the radio and regretting my existence. If I had never lived, the whole world wouldn't have been in danger. If I had never lived, the people I loved wouldn't be dead. But how, you ask? What happened? Well, my friends, that is a long story, and I am willing to tell you, if you listen. I will only say it once: twice and I wouldn't be able to move on, as I am barely able to do now. So, a story starts with a beginning. So I might as well start at the beginning: A short time ago, in a place uncomfortably close by, a girl sat at the kitchen table, working on her homework. It was near summertime; she wasn't doing her best job. Her teacher wouldn't care, because she was one of the best kids in class. Her mom was almost home: she had just texted Alaska. Alaska was the girl's name, yes. So everything was fine, and Aka (that was her nickname) went to get a snack from the fridge. That's when she found the note. It was right on top of the leftover taco meat Aka was planning on eating. (Aka's family; her, her mom, her little sister, and her baby brother; always had Taco Tuesday, and today was Wednesday.) Alaska was a little freaked out because she was the only one in the house and her friends hadn't been over since they had had tacos, hence not being able to put it on the container. With shaky hands, Alaska picked up the note and read it. It had sort of a poem on it, I guess you would call it. And this is what it said:
I can see the future,
I could see you,
Yesterday today,
I saw you take the meat.
But if I were you,
I would not eat,
For poison lies in your wake,
If you ignore my warning.-ZQR
The worst part about it is, I am Alaska. Now I will tell you MY story, in first person. All the way till the end.
