Chapter 5: The Chained Up

As Charlie climbed through the steel-like vines, she began to think of what was actually up from where the chains were. Maybe it'll lead them to her friends? No, Eternatus wouldn't make it that easy. When she finally reached the top, she got her answer. In front of her stood a massive beast. Its body was made up entirely of chains. At where the face was, a large eye with a hue of cyan scanned across the area. Charlie climbed up and looked for a place to hide. On the the side of the room stood pillars, so she just hid there. As she hid, she noticed something. Above the beast, a trapdoor dangled above. 'That had to be the exit', Charlie hoped. As she sneaked around it to try and inside, it grinned. "Hello, dear." The chains wrapped around her, bring her closer to the eye. "How did you get so small? Well, it doesn't matter. You're gonna die anyway." The chains started to wrap around her like a serpent with its prey. Looking at the eye again, she saw that it was tearing open, revealing a row of sharp teeth. She immediately tapped the crystal, changing her back to normal. She started struggling and so, she was freed. After that, she instantly started booking it. "Get back here, you child." As Charlie ran away from the creature, she noticed a hallway and turned to run straight forward. As she ran through, she hear the creature roar behind her angrily. While she was running, she noticed a worn out door. 'This might be a good place to hide', Charlie thought and hoped. She ran towards it, hiding behind it. Putting her ear against the door, she could hear the monster leaving. Charlie sighed, but when she turned around, she saw something odd. It was a room full of orbs.
