Lighting stuck the Scottish castle, a girl with red fiery hair, filled with curls ran to her room. She gripped her bow and quiver and slowly crept to the exit. The girl known as Merida walked out of the castle, rain drowned her wild curls down and her clothes started to get drenched. Merida was soon galloping through the forest on her gigantic horse, Angus.
Her eyes moved to the horses mane where her hands were holding on tightly. Tears fell onto her weary hands as lighting stuck once again. A powerful bang was heard and Merida's head shot up. She leapt off the horse running to where the sound was. She tripped on a root and her face slammed onto the muddy ground. She groaned in pain, but soon got up.
Merida saw something moving in the distance and followed it. A gasp was heard from the girl. She was starring directly at a monstrous beast, a dragon. It growled as she shrieked, suddenly a boy popped out holding his hands out. "Woah! Woah!" He touched the dragons snout as it seemed to calm down.
Merida shook with fear,"Wha'...Wha' is tha'?" The boy made a weak smile,"This is my dragon, Toothless. You are?" She stood confusingly at the boy with shaggy brown hair, his eyes were green, but darker shade from the darkening sky. Merida noticed him awaiting her reply,"Oh, uh. I'm..Merida." He held out his hand,"I'm Hiccup." Merida giggled, but quickly apologized and shook his hand.
Hiccup starred at the girl in wonder, her hair was a blazing red with crazy curls all around her hair. Her eyes were a bright shade of blue like the ocean. Hiccup sighed,"Do you have a blacksmith around?" Merida nodded,"Yeah." Hiccup slowly nodded back,"Where am I?" He asked. Merida twirled one of her curls,"Scotland. Thought it was obvious. The accent?" Hiccup chuckled,"Forgot yeah."
She walked past him as he looked back confused,"Where are you going?" Merida walked past the dragon as it growled at her. She frowned,"I'm running away. So bye." He ran after her,"I need to find the blacksmith! C'mon you gotta help me!" She groaned,"Fine. Just this one time."
