It was the week before Christmas, and it was obvious that I wouldn't get what I wanted. I mean it's almost impossible! My parents have no money, and they would never trust me to take care of a 5,000 dollar, beautiful, amazing cherry bay quarter horse. I knew there was one person in my family who would though. My aunt Katie, she loves horses as much as I do. Accept she is living her dream with them. She owns a beautiful 12 stall barn, has 16 horses, and runs in pro rodeos! I never really had an interest in horses until I was about 7. My sister loved horses! And Katie tried to teach her to do barrels. But she passed before she could ever actually run in a real race. Ever since then I have wanted to try it. For her, I know that's what she would want for me! And now that I have learned more about it, I have fell in love with it! But Katie moved to north Carolina 4 months ago, so I don't really know how to get in touch with her. So I might just have to wish this Christmas!
