Sometimes a numbness can overcome you, to the point you lose track of time, day,what is happening and your grip on reality loosens. I stare out my window, down at the busy street, watching the people live there lives while mine crumples a part.

Brylee's in the corner whimpering while quite tears stream down her face. We hadn't called anyone.. I couldn't bring myself to say it. I knew as soon as I spoke in my phone my voice would crack and I would lose self-control again.

I barely had grip on the tears.

"Are you going to call the boys?" Brylee whipped her nose and looked at me. "They should know."

They should know.

Know what?

That our our father is in the hospital again because he had another heart-attack. The difference between this time and any other time is that.

He's been pulled back into the operating room. After he's heart taking a down fall again. Our chances of him making it is slim.

I know brylee and I could take over the clubhouse and run the gang, but I don't really want to. I have to much on my hands right now. I couldn't make it without Dad, and it wouldn't feel right without him.

I have to suck it up. Move on. Dad will make it, I know he won't give up that easy.

I decided that it was time to give the boys a call.

I got in my pocket and pulled out the phone, I flipped it up and dialed the number I knew by heart.

Ring after ring, it was just an defining noise that drowned me out of reality.

"Abby?" He's voice took me out of the state I was in.

I couldn't say anything I tried to say something but my voice wouldn't come out, my mouth was just slightly opened.

"Hello? Abby are you there? Where are you? Where's you're father and Brylee?" He's questions were worthless to my numb feeling.

"Hospital. Dad. Heart-attack." was all I could get out.

"We're on our way. We'll take the bikes." then I hear the familiar sound of the motorbike engines.

Relief spread through me knowing that the boys would be here soon.
