Road Trip

"Wake up sleepy head!"

My mom walks in my room

"Mom seriously it is Saturday."I say

"Well we are going on a road trip!"says my mom

"Ugh" I say

"Come on"says my mom

"It will be fun"she says

"Fine" I say

And I start getting ready

-15 minutes later-

I walk downstairs fully ready

"Hi sweetie" says my dad

"Hi" I say

He gives me a kiss on the head

Sometimes I feel like he still treats me like I am 6 years old, I am a sophomore in high school therefore I think that he should probably stop.

Otherwise I can just imagine me going off to College and he gives me kisses on the head

I quickly forget that thought when my mom says "Breakfast is ready!"

She hands out plates to me and dad

With scrambled eggs and bacon

I take my time to eat my breakfast and soon my parents have finished and have already started getting in the car

So I quickly start shoveling the food into my mouth

And run and get into the car

"While they buckling up I say "Where are we going?" I ask

"We are going up into the mountains!"

"Yay" I say

I am trying to seem happy but on the inside I am not very excited at all

So we live in Iowa

And there are no mountains in Iowa so have to drive at least to Colorado to get some mountains

And that to Colorado is 18 hours so

We left our house and got on to the road

-5 hours later-

I am literally bored out of mind I was not prepared for this they just woke me up at 5 in the morning

"Who does that?" I said in my head

Anyway after a long time I managed to fall asleep.

I woke up with a crashing bang

I jumped out my seat to notice my parents were laying back in the seats they looked lifeless. And that  I was covered in bruises and my right leg hurt like crazy

I  limped around to the front of the car they had hit a person!

I reached for my phone and called 911

"911 what is your emergency?"

"Hi my name is Summer and me and my family were on a road trip to Colorado and they hit a person and they aren't moving."

"Ok we are on our way. What street are you on?"

"Hazelnut St."

"Do you know what state you are in?"

I pull out my phone and went to maps and the state we were in was Tennessee not Colorado. My parents lied to me!

"We are in Tennessee."

"I thought you said you were going to Colorado?" She asked

"Yeah I thought so but I fell asleep and I woke up here."

"Ok we are on our way."
