The Misunderstood

CHAPTER 2

I was awaken from my slumber by drowl running on his face. As I opened my eye I saw my pet Cerberus heads all staring at me.

"How did you guys get in here? Arent you suppose to be guarding the gates?" Hades chuckled while rubbing each of his pets head.
"I let them in father, we were wondering the fields of the compound and some how they end up here" Meloine said. Meloine has lived over 200 years old in human years but only had the appearance of a 16 year old mortal.
"Well daughter, I will be venturing to Olympus to have a word with your uncle Zeus" i said
"May I travel with you father?, i haven't seen Uncle Zeus in forever" Melione whined
"You saw him last decade" i stated
Meloine stared at me with a "like seriously" expression. "Father, a decade is a very long time i am asking kindly to accompany you there" she said
After seconds of thinking i gave in "fine but be ready in 15 minutes and Meloine you aren't allowed to take the soul of any one while we are there"
"But father" she said
"No buts, we don't want a repeat of the last time" i stated
"Okay Father" she stated and walked away.

I remembered the time he powers manifested and i saw her taking the soul of an angel that she saw and liked, she wanted her to be her friend but instead of being normal and befriending the angel she simply took her soul.
Shaking my head at the memory, i walked into my bathe will the nymphs cleanse my body, within 15 minutes I was clothed and ready to depart from the underworld. After notifying Meloine we ascended to Olympus on my Pegasus.

We arrived at Olympus amd saw the gate keeper whom i informed about my brother's and I meeting

"Lord Zeus is expecting you" he said as i was closer to him. I nodded as i entered the gates of Olympus we took the Pegasus to the stables and walked around.

Angels walking around serving the Gods and demigods because they believe they are too superior to feed themselves
"Father, why don't we have our demons in the underworld feed us? Wouldn't it be simplier to have someone do everything for you" Meloine asked
"My sweet child, being independent is one of the most valuable trait of a God. Being able to get things done by yourself" i said while smiling
"But father, isn't getting help something we all must do" she looked at me
"Yes, never be afraid to ask for help but only when its really necessary, only when you arent able to complete a task by yourself"
As we continued walking i explained to Meloine about me not being able to do every task in the underworld by myself hence the reason for the demons performing various task.
We reached Zues' Office and enter
"Well look who it is!! Isn't it my little demon, come here to Uncle Zues"
Meloine quickly ran to her Uncle acting like a silly 5 year old. Melione is almost 18 in Gods years but to humans she'd be about 179 years old, she looks just as any mortal would at that age. I allowed Meloine to catch up with her Uncle as I mentally prepare myself for the conversation I'm about to have with my brother. As if he was reading my mind his eyes met mine and then his smile flatters.
"Meloine, your father and I have matters to discuss, would you please join your cousin Cupid outside and have fun" Zues exclaimed before speaking again "not too much fun tho, Cupid likes to make couples do crazy things for love and you like stealing souls so please... dont cause too much trouble like the last time you both made Ramario and Julia died"

"It wasn't that bad they died in the name of love, they both are together in the underworld as we speak" Meloine defended
"They we teenagers, mortal teenagers Melione" Zues Chuckled
"Well I'll be gone Uncle Zues, Father" Melione said as she left the room.

Zues took a seat on his high chair while I leaned onto the wall.
"Do you remember anything of what happened lastnight brother?" I asked
"I was celebrating the soon to happen birth of my son, well atleast i was trying to until someone stole my wine!!" Zues stated
"Well Brother you said sometimes that needs to be discussed in more details" i said

Zues looked at his brother and sighed knowing what was coming

"You told me that you are going to forbid me from olympus, why is that brother and don't say its because you were drunk because a drunken man speaks sober thoughts" i said
"Well, i have been meaning to tell you this but i am going to have to forbid you from Olympus because you have neglected your duties as a God and you have yet to marry and produce a son so he can take over you duties as father did us" Zues said
"Mel can more than take over the underworld." i retorted "she is as capable as any male "
"I know that, Melione is one of my favourite nieces but i can not over look this rule, i can not change this rule brother and you know it. It was there before our father was the ruler of all Creation. Women are just not fit enough to rule." Zues sighed
