this was inspired by a mermaid cover bitchmafia made. she took down her portfolio, but you can still find the inspiration cover on her instagram (go follow her because her stuff is gorgeous)
also I got the idea for the water splash from blackroguex because I saw the speed cover she recently did and the way she blended the faestock image into the water (and added the reflection) was really helpful (:

I didn't realize that my style had changed that much since the summer, but yeah, it has. not just change in how I draw hair (from using hair stock to drawing with my mouse to drawing with my tablet) to just the way it looks in general. the text, the coloring, even the blood is different. I guess that's interesting, I didn't really notice it until I made the collage lol

also yeah I made a version of this cover for this book because this book won't be published anytime soon and there's no point in wasting a perfectly good siren edit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
