Chapter 4
Francesca
Who do those rich bitches think they are? I can't believe that they won't allow me to attend their father's funeral. They are angry because I hired an attorney. Oh, well, girls! Get use to it because I am not going away. If their biological mother is also Jessica's biological mother, they are going to pay up big time! They are the ones who came along and interrupted our lives. My daughter deserves to have everything they have. Now there is also another young woman in the mix. That's OK because there is plenty of money to go around for everyone! Kenzie Smithson is also a sibling or a triplet or something related to them. I looked in Jessica's cell phone when she was sleeping and I called the attorney after she left today. I also called the local news anonymously. And I saw on the news that Kenzie and my daughter were photographed leaving her dorm room! I told the news reporters that the girls were heading to Alexander Addison Wetherington's home and then to his funeral. I could have gotten some great photos and sold them to magazines if they would have allowed me to attend the funeral.
Those twins just want to keep all of their money for themselves. Greedy, greedy, greedy girls. I am all about getting even with people. Once my neighbor's teenage son ran over the tulips next to my driveway in his new car. I watched him do it. I went over and they totally denied it happened. I called the police and they went over to talk to my neighbors. They said that I was a trouble -maker and started problems with everyone in the neighborhood and that I couldn't be believed. I waited for my chance to get even with them. A few weeks later, the parents went out of town. Later that night I went over and keyed their son's car. They didn't even notice for a few days. Then they called the police and once again it was a he said, she said situation. The next morning, our front yard was painted with the words "white trash!" I had to put in a security camera.
We were only renting the house so when our lease was up, we had to move. We wanted to renew the lease but the owner said he had too many complaints. We didn't pay our last month's rent and just figured he could use our security deposit to pay it. Before we left, in te dark,I went over and poured clorox on our next door neighbor's bushes. The Clorox wouldn't work immediately so they wouldn't know I did it! After we left, the landlord tried to sue us in civil court because he said that the security deposit didn't cover all of the repairs that needed to be made and that we never paid the last month's rent. When we got to court, the judge sort of split the difference down the middle. We had to pay the last month's rent, but the landlord was stuck with the repairs that exceeded our security deposit. He also had an attorney and he had to pay him. I don't think the judgement worked in his favor at all!
We stayed at my father-in-law's apartment while we looked for another place to live. A few years ago, we declared bankruptcy so it hasn't been easy to find a place to live. Our credit is kaput! I think we spent too much on credit and we ran into debt. My husband worked hard so we were entitled to have things that other people had. After our debt got so high, we couldn't pay our mortgage and we lost our house. Bad luck just seemed to follow us. A few years ago, I was driving home with Jess in the back seat. I had had a few drinks but I was far from intoxicated. I ran a stop sign and just my luck that a cop was right there! He pulled me over and started to question me. He asked if I had been drinking and I said I had a glass of wine. Then he made me get out of the car and walk a straight line. I stumbled a few times. I felt that he was really rude to Jess and she was scared. He took me into custody and gave me a DUI! He called my husband to come and get Jess. I told the cop that he would be really sorry. I hired an attorney and tried to sue that nasty cop. When we got to court, I told my side of the story and Mr. Nasty told his side. I told the judge how the cop was rude to Jess and how he scared her. What I didn't know was that the cop's dashboard cam videoed the entire episode. However,I think the tape was altered. I told the judge that the video had been altered but he ignored what I said. It was no big surprise that the judge ruled in the cop's favor. They all stick together. We had to pay all of the court costs as well as our attorney's fee!
My husband worked as a maintenance man at an old folk's home. They didn't pay him enough for the work he did. The last time I drove him to work, I went inside after the office was closed. I took $125 out of the petty cash drawer. I had made a copy of my husband's master key but I never told him. He got fired soon after and he was only told that there had been complaints about his work!
We found an old fixer upper house which was in foreclosure and we purchased it. My husband had plenty of time to work on it because he was out of a job. He did get a lot of side jobs and that was even better because he got paid under the table. We have struggled all of our lives and I am not going to give up my daughter's right to an inheritance! I was a stay at home mom so we only ever had one income. I have a bad foot and I have to get a knee replacement so I can't even consider looking for a job at this point in life. My husband has been on my back for years to get a job.
So the rat trap we are now living in will be a thing of the past very soon! I have been looking at the houses for sale at the other end of the county! I've also decided that I will get a Cadillac when our ship comes in! I think I will choose a white convertible with a dark blue top and red interior. I have also been looking on Amazon for new sheets, towels, bedding, china, pots and pans, and coffee makers. Most likely I will hire a maid because I hate to clean the house! We will soon have the best of everything. I found all of the new furniture I want on Wayfair. I will only shop for my clothes at Neiman Marcus and Nordstroms when we get our share of the inheritance! My husband keeps telling me not to count my chickens before they are hatched. He is such an idiot!
I've had the news on most of the day! Alexander Addison Wetherington's death is big news! I think it is partially because he is a multibillionaire but also because everyone now knows about his company fooling around with embryos. Alexa and Adalyn are beautifu girls, they could have been models. My daughter Jessica is also beautiful but she doesn't have the height to be a model. This news story has it all, it has money, beautiful twin girls, mysteries surrounded their parentage, and two siblings who were raised by other parents. Pictures of Alexa and Adalyn are all over the news. But now Kenzie and Jess are included in the news stories. I really hope there aren't any more so called long lost sisters out there! The news reporters are trying to interview people who knew any of the girls. I can't believe that they just interviewed a few of my ex-neighbors who hate me. I should sue them for what they have said. They said Jess was a sweet girl but she has a crazy wacko mother. They also tried to interview my husband's previous employer but they chose not to participate.
The news cameras are now trying to follow the hearse into the church parking lot. Only a few cars have been permitted into the parking lot. I see that there is another car that looks full! What the heck? I just am watching that three more girls who look like Alexa and Addison getting out of an old jalopy. They are with an African American man and a woman! Perhaps the adults are their body guards. But why travel in an old jalopy? Maybe that is to throw off the reporters. WHAT is going on? Who are they? I need to call my attorney and get him checking out this new turn of events. Hopefully, they are cousins. I don't want to share with any more beneficiaries!
I just texted Jess. I asked her to take a few photos so I could see the inside of the church. She is inside the church but still standing in the back. I am texting tons of questions to her but she isn't answering. I later learned that the family attorney took possession of all cell phones before anyone could enter the church! Those twins are so paranoid. They probably want to sell the photos and keep the money for themselves! Greedy, greedy, greedy girls!
I have been thinking back to the time that I went to Genetica. I went through two rounds of failed in vitro fertilization. In vitro fertilization is a process of fertilization by extracting eggs from a female and then retrieving a sperm sample from the male partner. Then they are manually combined in a laboratory dish. When fertilization happens, the embryo or embryos are then transferred to the women's uterus. It is quite expensive. After a failed round, I decided to use donated eggs in addition to my own eggs and keep it a secret from everyone. When Jessica was born, I was certain she was from my embryo because she looks very much like me. I was thrilled when I got pregnant and sort of forgot that I had donated eggs as well as my own eggs. But now it has all worked out so well! Jessica must be a half sibling from the twins' mom and now they owe us! I tried to get pregnant for about five years the natural way but nothing happened. I went to see a fertility specialist and he ran a lot of tests. He then suggested that we try in vitro fertilization. My gynecologist recommended going to Genetica.
I couldn't find my paperwork from Genetica. I probably threw it out years ago. I never wanted my husband to know anything about donated eggs. I did find a sample online of the forms that I think are identical to what I signed. I have been reading over the small print. I gave a copy to my attorney. It does state that the donated eggs are from anonymous donors and that the donors have no legal rights to a child born from their donations. It also states that the donors are not in any way financially responsible for a child born from their donations. It gives a brief medical history as well as a personality inventory and an education history of the donor. The cost for the first attempt at in vitro is $12,000.00. Any second or third or fourth attempt costs $10,000.00 There are extra costs for medications. We put out about $23,000.00 to get pregnant with Jessica. In vitro fertilization is one of the reasons we piled up debt and lost our house so the twins owe us big time!.
