"That's it! You got it! Concentrate!" The booming voice of my godfather filled my little bed room we sat it. My eyes were squeezed shut in as I tried to change my hair color. Being a Metamorphmagus had it perks but lately my inability to control my powers has caught the attention of the Muggles in our area. 'Pink, pink, pink' I thought over and over again. A gasp from my godfather caused me to open my eyes. "You did it my girl! you did it!"
Looking in the mirror in front of me I saw my normally blonde hair was a bubble gum pink.

"I did it!" I squealed with excitement. "I did it Uncle Sirius! I really really did it!" I turned and ran into my uncle's arm. Sirius picked me up and spun me around the room. Suddenly the door to my bedroom was thrown open as my weary faced father enter the room.

"Sirius" my father panted tired from running up the stairs. "The Potters... Something-something's happened." Black stood frozen holding me in the air. Struggling to get down I tapped my godfathers shoulder.

"Umm Uncle Sirius please put me down." Snapping out of whatever daze he was in he quickly set me down on my bed and ran to my father. I sat quietly trying to listening to the two adults conversation in front of me.

"Lily... James"

"Someone told"

"He's heading their way" my fathers voice had an edge of panic to it.

"I knew he was a rat" Sirius growled loud enough for me to hear.

Curiosity finally got the better of me as I spoke up and said "What's going on?" The two adult seemed to forgotten I was there and jumped at the sound of my voice. "Who's a rat? Who's heading where? What's wrong with Auntie Lily and Uncle James? Is Harry alright?" My father and Serious shared a look then my godfather took a step forward.

"I have to go now. I'll be alright. I'm just going to check on the Potters."
I knodded my head and watched as my father and godfather exchanged a few last words, they embraced, then with the pop Sirius was gone.

I wish I knew that was the last night I was going to see my godfather outside of a prison cell. I also wish I knew that a week later, during the light of a full moon, my father would go crazy, attack the house, and end up being killed by Aurors, making me an orphan by the age of 4.
