Tori's POV
School was boring as usual. The only interesting thing that happened was that a couple of boys fought and of course they didn't know how to throw a real hook. I headed towards my bike and immediately left the parking lot of hell. I rode to Danny's school and waited for a bit. He should be here right about...now.
"Ria!" I hear a familiar voice shout. I look around and spot my favorite brother. Well, he's my only brother but he's still my favorite!
"Danny!" I picked him up and placed him on the bike. "How was your day?"
"It was good." He started going off about what happened in school but the only thing on my mind was tonight. "We also played with the dinosaurs!"
I smiled and nodded. Unlike me, he actually likes going to class and learning. The only difference is that they actually make learning fun. I put his helmet on his head and I got on the bike. I made sure to be careful on the ride back home. I didn't want to lose Danny in another accident. He was the only one I had left and I'll do anything for him. We finally arrived home and we headed into the apartment.I took off both our helmets and put them on the table.
"Go start doing your homework and I'll start making dinner okay?" Danny nodded and went to go do his homework. I put down my bag and sighed. Let's see what I can make today. I look through the cabinets and spot a box of mac and cheese. This will do.
I start boiling the water and start working on the homework that was assigned today.I pour the macaroni into the boiling water and finish my work. Keeping up my nerd status is easy since I actually study although some people do bother me because of it. It's not my problem if they don't graduate. I finish making dinner and put it into two bowls.
"Danny! Dinner's ready!" The moment I shout those words, I hear footsteps quickly coming towards the kitchen.
"Food!" Danny yelled. I chuckled at his excitement and put the bowl of food in front of him.
"Eat up."
He immediately started eating as if it was going to be his last meal.
"Slow down. I don't want you to choke on your food." He smiled sheepishly and started to slowly eat his food. We both finished dinner and I looked at the time. 10:30 PM. I got up, grabbed the two dirty bowls, and walked to the sink.
"Go start getting ready for bed okay? I'll go tuck you in after I'm done washing the bowls."
"Okay!" He went to go change while I washed the dishes. I put the dishes away after I was done washing them and I headed towards our room. I see Danny sitting on the bed and reading one of his books. I smile at the sight and make my presence known by knocking on the door. He looked at me startled and I smiled at him.
"Sorry about that. I didn't mean to scare you." I walked towards him and sat on the edge of the bed. "What are you reading?"
His eyes lit up and he started talking about what he's read so far. He yawned mid-sentence and I chuckled softly.
"Seems like someone's tired. How about you finish telling me tomorrow?"
He nodded and laid down on the bed. I tucked him and kissed his forehead.
"Sleep well, Danny." I turned off the lights and left the room. 10:55 PM. I grab my hood and my helmet. I left the apartment by 11 PM and walked towards my bike. I'm probably going to come back late but it's the only way I can get money for Danny and I. I put on my helmet and drove off. Where am I driving to? To the place where all the fights take place. Or...
The factory.
