Chapter 2 Training

F/n's POV*

Dani was just sitting up as I put on my cadet uniform. It was a bit big on me, considering that it was the only uniform left and it was in men sizes. I put a few hair clips on the back of the shirt to make sure it fits my slim form. Dani laughs at me. "You have such an odd taste in clothing f/n!"

"Oh shut up miss skinny twist!" I tackle her and she giggles.

"Okay okay f/n i surrender! Now let me get into my uniform!"

I roll off of her and begin to laugh. Us always being the last one out of the barracks we naturally have the entire place to goof off for the next 2 minutes until we are assigned our work for the day.

"Yo Dani pass me my f/c ribbon!"

She throws the f/c(ed) clump my way and I catch it without flaw. I unravel the ribbon and rubs the silky texture between my fingers before tying my h/l h/c hair in a braid. She gets up and gets dressed.

Then she suddenly grabs my hand and run outside. We get into our rows and wait for instructions. Then our instructor announces.

"Today we will be learning how to deflect a rogue. I will devide everyone into

groups of two. Here's the list:

Eren and Reiner

Maria and Derrick

Annie and Marsha

Sasha and Conny

F/n and Mikasa

Daniella and Marco

Armin and Deklin

Andrew with Jean!"

Everyone walks around to find their partners. I was scared. I got Mikasa Ackerman!!!!!! She's like an ELITE and im a slacker.

I find the lovely Mikasa sitting, skimming the people for the 'me' she never seen.

"Hi M-Mikasa!"

"Are you f/n?"

"Yah."

"Ill be rogue."

"Okay." I wait for her to go get the fake knife as my heart rate increases. "Oh boy im going to get more bruises" i whisper to myself. She comes back and smiles. "Ready f/n?"

I nod. She begins to circle around me as I study her movements. She then charges at me and I scoot to the side but she kicked my leg and I fall. She then puts the plastic knife to my chest.

"Your turn."

I take the knife from her and take a stance beside her. I charge at her silently and she braces herself. Just as I am about to make impact with her I quickly spin around her and was about to put the knife on her back. But of course she spins around and grabs my hand. Then judo flips my to the ground, pulling the knife from my hand.

"You're not very good at this f/n."

"Dont underestimate me Ackerman." I grin.

~A few hours of training later~

She swipes the knife at me. I duck under it and tackler her by her waist. She falls down in surprise and I snatch the knife from her and points it at her neck. I then get off her and smile. I had beated Mikasa!! She sighs.

"Good job f/n... Wanna go get a glass of water?"

"Sure Mikasa!"

We get up and go to the mess hall with everyone else. Dani catches up with me and smiles.

"How many bruises you got f/n?"

"Like 20!"

We both begin to laugh.

"So lemme guess. Marco failed miserably?"

"Yeah.. He was slow!"

We sit down at the back table and babble on about boys and such. Until Deklin walks over and sits down.

"Hello ladies. How are y'all doing?"

"Go away piggy, we're trying to eat here and we dont need your smell making our stomachs turn."

He scowls and walks off while Dani high fives me. No one really talked to us much. Some guys come over to try to flirt with Dani but i manage to scare them off.

"Okay, time to report to the barracks cadets!" announces the instructor.

Everyone nods and heads their way to the barracks. All the girls get in bed except for me and Dani. We start talking quietly for a little. Then we sleep. Here comes the dreams.
