Still a bit dozy

I woke up with my eyes still closed. I didn't want to get up out of my warm cozy bed, but I should probably get something to eat. I opened my eyes and shot up off my back. I wasn't in the same room I always woke up in...Omg! I forgot all about running away! But I didn't have a place to go, so where am I?
I lifted my feet to the side of the bed and slipped out. I carefully walked into the hallway, trying not to make a sound. The smell of waffles filled the air. It smelt so good it made me want to doze off. Then I reached the kitchen where I found a women with dirty blond hair. She was wearing an apron with batter smeared all over it.
I stepped closer and the floor creaked under me.
The lady spun around
"Oh! Good morning sweetie. You fell asleep at the diner last night but you wouldn't wake up so I just brought you here to stay."
She smiled nicely at me
Ya I remember now. She was the lady who gave me free pancakes.
"Thank you so much! And for yesterday too I was really hungry. "
"No problem dear... Sorry but I never got your name? I'm Tory by the way, Tory Roberts."
"Alaina Johnson."
I stuck out my hand to shake hers but hers were dirty with dried batter.
"Oh! And help yourself i made some waffles for you and Carlie."
She handed me a plate of waffles.
"Carlie?" I asked
"Carlie is my daughter! I should probably wake her because she got school today. She always tells me that she'll get out of bed but she falls asleep again anyways! Haha."
She walked out of the kitchen and about 2 minutes later she came back with Carlie right behind her.
She had wavy bleach blond hair, and dark blue eyes.
"Carlie this is Alaina, Alaina this is Carlie." Mrs.Roberts introduced.
"Hello! It's nice to meet you!" Carlie smiled.
I smiled back
"Nice to meet you too!"
I was really eager to eat the waffles because they smelt like heaven so I quickly dug in.
"So where you from?"
Carlie asked me
"Just a little town near here."
"Do you have a place to stay? Cuz if you don't you could stay here if you want!"
Carlie said excitedly.
"I don't have anywhere to go so that means a lot thank you. You guys have been so nice!" I smiled
Mrs.Roberts smiled
"Your very welcome Alaina. Your a very sweet person yourself!"
Carlie looked at her phone
"I'm gonna be late for school so I'll be going now, see you guys!" Carlie
jumped out her chair and grabbed her bag and soon was out the door.
