Dr. Tobias Nowitzki sits across from Clara Mason.

Tobias: Now you are SURE you've read everything and know the risks of this procedure?

Clara: Yes.

Tobias: You are fine knowing that you will age at least ten years for this one day with your husband?

Clara: Yes. I'm willing to risk everything to see him again. To spend one more day with him, alive.

Tobias: Me and my team are happy to help. You are a brave woman to be doing this, Clara. If only the world had more people like you.

Clara: If only there were more people like you Dr. Nowitzki, who create such amazing things. I have to ask, what made you come up with this? Who was it that inspired you to spend years and millions of dollars to make this dream of seeing someone that has died alive again?

Tobias: That's a conversation for another time. This is about you. About reuniting you with the husband you lost too soon.

Clara: He will be himself there? It won't be like reliving a memory or spending a day with some robot that's like him?

Tobias: No. It will be him. His soul, and yours, spending a full twenty-four-hour day together.

Clara gets tears in her eyes.

Clara: I still can't believe it. I never thought I'd see Randy again, and now, there's a real chance.

Tobias holds Clara's hand.

Tobias: It's going to happen, Clara. I promise I will reunite you and your husband.

He looks at the papers in front of him.

Tobias: When I went over all of the candidates for this, I knew you were the one. Going over everything from your past, to your health, to your diet, to your motivation for this.

He looks up, into Clara's eyes.

Tobias: You were made for this.

They go over more details, Clara skims over some of the risks once more, and then she gets ready to sign.

Clara: Here goes.

She signs the paper and slides it to Tobias Nowitzki.

Clara: Don't kill me, ok?

Tobias: You're in good hands. When this is over, you'll have aged a bit, but you'll be happy. You'll have experienced something billions of people wish they could. You are helping me do something that will change the world.

Tonight, Clara sits at the edge of her bed with tears down her face, reading a letter her husband had written her.

Randy: Clara, I couldn't be happier to call you my wife. I'm sorry I'll be on the road again, but I'll make sure to call you every night. A day without hearing your voice is a day that isn't complete. I love you, and can't wait to go on vacation with you when I get back. And I must admit, even though I'm happy to be going on vacation, I'm even more excited to start our family together. Five months from now we'll be parents, but I have a feeling these months will fly by. I see it's almost time for me to go, so I'll finish this up. I love you, and I can't wait to see you again. Love, Randy.

The next day Clara looks at her calendar, seeing today is the day she has written "Reunion Day". She goes to the small underground facility the procedure is scheduled to take place at. Clara is kindly greeted by the technicians as Tobias drinks coffee while speaking with his assistant, Glen.
