"The marks on her neck suggest asphyxiation". Nikki had been doing this for a long time, probably one of the most experienced forensic pathologists you could find. Along side her was Dr Thomas Chamberlain, also very experienced in his field, was the leader in fact. "But the cause of death could also be the use of a blunt instrument, as shown by the consistent bruising." They were a team. Watching them work was Jack, in awe of their knowledge of human biology, remembering all of these facts that night later prove useful. "I picked something up from the crime scene, a hair, not matching to the victim, I'll get Clarissa on it now." The post mortem wasn't the most pleasant. Cuts, bruises, glass, burns, pretty much anything you could think of, and the cause of death was hard to determine, especially with the detective hounding then to give them some useful information. After hours and hours of trying to piece together the facts, Nikki decided to go home, she was exhausted after all. "Nikki wait!" Said Jack. "I was just wondering if you wanted to come over mine." he said shyly.
"I really shouldn't i'm so tired." responded Nikki.
"Of course, yeah, tired, got ya." he seemed upset, disappointed maybe and began walking away.
"Well... I suppose one drink wouldn't hurt." she smiled, his face lit up "okay then, come on!"
11:20 pm
"No, oh no, your joking." Nikki said, almost crying with laughter.
"I know! But the funny thing was he turned back and said it was his, cheeky bast***."
Nikki was crying laughing, they smiled at each other, appreciating the moment and how great they were together.
"Well I don't know about you but I'm tired." said Jack.
"Ugh me too, I don't want to walk all the way back to my apartment though."
"What if you don't have to..." Jack said smiling.
"You mean...no no we couldn't."
"No point trying to resist the old Hudgson Nik."
"Ugh fine then." she said laughing and she climbed into his bed, and pulled up the sheets.
