Golden humans strutting around. The scent of metal. It sounded and looked all like a video game except it was scarier. The humans were splattered in blood and were fighting by their golden hands and bloody teeth like savages.

Babies screamed, kicking and yelling. Mothers hushed their babies golden mouths. Fathers fought and romanced with beautiful, perfect-looking females. Cars floated around. It was too much.

"Hai!" A girl laughed, rebelling against the ancient laws of these humans. The rule being: Laughing and talking is forbid. The people inhaled, gasping at the bravery of one young girl. And then they realised, she wasn't golden. She had dark flesh and black hair that cascaded down to her legs. Her teeth were brilliantly white yet real. Her eyes were twinkling, green eyes that made the men and women fall in love with her.

A man stroked his metallic beard. The cars stopped floating, turning to the girl. She simply put her hands on her hips, jutting out her chin and raising her head. Her pink lips stretched into a smile. Girls, her age, were silent, looking mouths-open at the girl. A boy stepped forward, golden like the others.

"Look, you know the Ancient Laws, they forbid us from talking!" The boy huffed, his mother glanced at him. His straight, rich hair waved in the breeze.

"I know them but why do they forbid you from talking? Because they're from hell." She answered, quickly. Her eyes flicked past the sickeningly beautiful people. Another teenager stepped out of the safe ring of people to join the argument. She was as dizzying as the dark human was stable. The beasts shrugged and kept on staring at her.

"Hell! Hell! Hell!" A baby chanted, clapping their chubby hands as they giggled. Their chain jacket shook up and down, hurting the babies skin. The girl stormed over to where the baby chanted. She kissed them and carefully undid the chain jacket and held it in the air.

"Look, do you need proof? This is evil, it's hurting you all. This is what Hell is, this is what the Ancient Rules made!" She shouted, tears slid from the corners of her eyes. She fondled the baby as if it was her own, rocking the baby side to side. The baby giggled again, their top naked but free and pain-free.

The people watched her move, fearing and admiring. The boy and girl stepped back. The crowd was frozen.

"W-who are you?" A mother asked. She considered the question for a second, tickling the marble infant.

"A child from Heaven, who cares about you and the pain you're facing. In Heaven, children chat non-stop and have fun. Adults don't fight," her eyes linger on the blood-covered teeth and hands "they work and look after their children and sing." A tear splashes down her face when she sees how destroyed and hopeless the audience are.

Their eyes grow wide with amazement. Males wipe their teeth and hands and bend down to pay respect to the victim they last had assassinated. Mothers hurry about their children, pulling off-chain clothes, laughing. Children hug each other, making up with their enemies.

"You're incredible!" The boy that had retorted to her presence earlier said. She looks at him and hands the baby to their mother, smiling.

"Thanks. Want to show them how to dance?" She asks. The boy nods.

She takes him in her arms, swinging him around passionately. First, it's impossible to lead the hesitant, stiff and hard boy around the room but then he takes charge, swinging her around in his arms. She did a quick tap-dance and then he lifted her up. They were in each others arms, then snaking around each other. Gasps showed that the audience adored the dance. Soon, she started singing sweetly. And then he joined in more heavy.

She came closer and so did he. They joined hands. He went backwards, facing her and she went back facing him. Hands in hands. It happened again until she took charge, coming closer and closer until their lips pressed firmly together. Their skin touched, cosily. He wrapped his arms around her.

His skin wasn't golden, he realised but pale pink. He gasped. Mothers embraced their partners. Children kissed their loved ones. And as they did, brown, black, white, pale pink and orange replaced their goldenness.

She pulls gently away from him.

"Thank you for making this trip a special one-" She smiles swiftly around. The faces turned crumpled, hopeless once more.

"You be Queen! He be King!" The baby she had rocked earlier squeals, clapping crazily. Their mother hushes them but it's enough to make her think. The couple turns to each other, their faces are mirrored onto the others.

"Only if you agree?" She asks. The group cheers. The people in the cars circle above them, applauding, chanting. Then, a grin cracks on both of their faces.

"Then I may announce the Leader Of This Land. Queen Leilana." She curtseys. Cottages and animals, flowers and trees spring up everywhere. The scent of tulips floats to everyone's noses. Rivers trickled daintily and animals bleated and barked. Their land had been made up of nothing except endless flats and death and now it was a place of beauty.

"May I introduce you to the place of Dashirua! The Ancient Laws shall be removed and instead there will be 'Laws of mzuri': No violence, no killing of anything. No harsh words, everyone will share. You may marry who you want to. You shall not be perfect but as perfect as you can be. Anyone should help if it's possible to help. There will be a school to be educated in." Queen Leilana said. The crowd of people clapped and then scattered, each heading for a house with their family. Only she and the boy remained.

He bowed. She curtseyed.

"May you treat me for a walk?" She asked, mildly. He agreed, offering her his hand. She took it. They sidled next to each other for a few minutes. He took in the incredible sights. Trees alive with spirits and rivers with mermaids and Gods swimming around. The boy twitched.

"You changed everything. You're personality, it's awesome." His eyes danced with pleasure. She smiled, softly and nodded.

"Thanks but without you, I wouldn't have made this city or changed your awful richness and hardness. I needed to fall in love with someone otherwise this wouldn't've worked. And, I love you. Dearly," She squeezed his hand.

"It's funny, how you can adore someone so much in just a few hours. But, I'm sure that it's not fake love. Like, my heart aches with love for you." He says.

"Heaven was fine and everything but there was no one like you. No one I treasured in this sense. Of course, there was my mother and father, but that was different. I didn't ache for them as I do for you. Oh, I'm so glad I met you! Even, if you did rebel against me at first!" She says, hugging him.

"I need to ask you," he shuffles awkwardly, "may we be engaged? I don't mean to hurry, I just- I've been waiting for this moment, for my entire life." He bows. Laughter spills out of Leilana's mouth as she nods.

"Of course. I love you." They kiss. The warmness of each other touches them.

Mermaids sing and tree spirits throw leaves on them. The water is red, brimming with love. They stay together, frozen with adoration. Then, Leilana turns away, the trees still throwing leaf confetti onto them.
