It was a Thursday morning. Ariel and Rina quietly lounged around their usual hangout room in Ariel's mansion. Actually, it was Rina's mansion too, "It's your mansion too!" Ariel used to say enthusiastically. Then they had quite a few adventures together and traveled through different worlds and met some friends a long the way; they even had their first couple of fights - which admittedly, Ariel did not remember.
Rin and Ari, their male counterparts (which the Takune's liked to refer to as twins), were also there with them. Rina and Rin sat on the couch with their laptops placed on the coffee table In front of them while Ariel and Ari sat next to each other at one of their many, but second most personal desks; Ari was on his laptop while Ariel was hanging off her chair playing around on her temporary cellphone; she had to get a new one but simply hadn't gotten around to doing It.
The room was filled mostly with silence, other than the sound of clicking and typing coming from their laptops, as well as heavy sighs of boredom.
Just another day.
Usually, or rather like they used to, they'd be excitedly playing Video Games together or going out on Adventures, maybe watching Anime or reading Manga. Instead they just sat around depressed with seemingly no energy to spare. I suppose doing the same things over and over again can get boring after a while, in that case, switch it up! It also seems like there's no time for anything despite their somehow always having time to lay down and do practically nothing (scrolling on tumblr or facebook etc counts as basically doing nothing, okay). Most of the the time they simply just don't know what to do.
Maybe they're getting old. But Ariel disagrees.
Ari yawned, rolling his computer chair back then throwing his arms up In the air while spinning and exclaiming, "Weeeee~!" In monotone. The Tsukino's watched curiously, both raising an eyebrow in question, but said nothing, that Is until Rina decided to ask, "what are you doing?" despite It being plain as day. Ari turned to her, arms up, and fluttering eyelashes. He tilted his head to the side blinking rapidly as If he were saying, Really? "Spinning In a circle on my chair...? What do you think I'm doing." He replied, slightly annoyed. Rina shrugged and Ari went back to spinning.
After a few more minutes of silence, Ariel sighed for the one hundredth time today; putting her cellphone In her dark gray zip-up hoodie pocket. She cleared her throat then brought her hand up to her mouth and faked a cough In attempt to catch everyone's attention. "We should all go on a date!" She suggested, giving a lazy yet cheerful smile.
"Sure thing. Where do you want to go?" Rin replied immediately.
Ariel mentally sweatdropped and closed her eyes, placing her hand on her chin as If 'attempting to think'. "Pfft. You think I'd know that?!" She dramatically exclaimed, throwing her hands down. "I am merely a potato!" She reminded Rin while laughing with a deep voice and pauses in between: Ha-ha-ha!
It surprisingly only took a second for Rin to suggest something. "Then do you want to go see a movie first? The casual thing." He said in a surprisingly sweet yet suspicious tone, which sounded more like he was up to no good and planning something inside his head in secret. Ari face desked In the background while holding himself and holding In his laughter.
Wait, when did he even stop spinning? Well, whatever.
(Plot twist: He didn't)
"A movie you say, Hmm..." Ariel thought about the suggestion for a while then shrugged. "I guess? What should we watch though?" She asked, sitting up properly. Little did she know that she'll briefly regret everything In just a few minutes. A smirk formed in the corner of Rin's mouth as a slightly sadistic aura appeared around him.
