Hey der it's Nat:
No need for an alarm clock when you wake up with a book in your face, which, obviously, is how I woke up. I guess I had fallen asleep re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows too late. I put a bookmark marking my page, although it was practically permanently marked now after sleeping with it over my nose. I even had a little dent from the pages on my forehead where Harry's scar was. Go figure.
I sat up in bed and stretched. And yawned. And squirmed. And did a lot of odd little movements to wake myself up. Recoiling at my own breath, I immediately marched to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. Upon re-entering my room, I became aware (like always) of the insane amount of yellow and red in my room. This was when my eyes became truly awake. I had Gryffindor banners, bed sheets, blankets, scarves and hats, everything imaginable. On the doorknob to my closet was written the word "Alohamora," and I turned this now. I chose a pair of denim shorts and my Hogwarts Alumni shirt. I also threw on a light sweater for good measure.
I double-checked the contents of my backpack for the day and shouldered it. With another hand, I picked up my phone just as it vibrated with a text tone. It was from Chloe. We planned our day, then I went down for breakfast.
Eggs and bacon. And a pancake. Not too bad, Mom. I ate, brushed my teeth, and hopped into Mom's white minivan. The ignition started, and I was on my way to high school.
