Alind

"Ugh," I sigh, " Why did I say to leave at dawn?"

I get up and grab my bag. I start walking in the tunnel that connects my house and Destiny's house. I still can't see any color. I miss the color of the sky. Everything is so dark.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts as I walk into a door. Oops.  I walk around and climb up into the window. I start knocking on the window.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Destiny yells, falling off the bed.

"Hehe," I snicker.

"You suck," she says to me.

"I know, now can you let me inside?" I ask.

"Yeah," she says.

I walk in and go to Leanna's room. I kick the door and successfully wake her up.

"Alind! Never do that again! You scared the shit out of me!" she exclaims

"Well, I don't know how to kick your door and not scare the shit out of you," I say.

"Ugh." Leanna groans.

"Go grab your bag. We're meeting at the grave." I say.

I walk out of the door and walk to Dealan's house. I climb the window and knock on the window.

"Jeez! You scared me!" he said.

"Yeah, that's like the whole point," I say, "wake up Oscar and tell him to bring horses. We're meeting at the grave."

"Okay," he says.

I start walking to the grave, passing by a stand. I inspect a little closer, walking to the position. Books and games, don't mind if I do.  I start scanning all of the items: edition eight of Lantern? Destiny has been looking for that for a long time. I swiftly grab the book while the employee is not looking. I put it in my bag and keep looking. Actions figures, for Oscar and Dealan, perfect. I grab them and run. The employee doesn't seem to notice that I've taken anything, so I keep walking. I find some jewelry on the ground. It would be the perfect gift for Leanna, so I grab it and continue walking to the grave.

I arrive to find everyone standing there. Oscar is standing there with a horse and a carriage.

"Are you guys ready?" I ask.

I hear some yeah's and some hums of an agreement; I also see some nods.

"Well then, let's go," I say happily.

We start walking to the barrier; I stop at a tree and look at the sunrise. The colors were beautiful, not that I can see them anymore.

"Alind! Are you coming?" Oscar yells out.

"Yeah, yeah. Calm down," I reply.

We walk further and further into the woods until we reach the wall. No guard is ever stationed here; it's too dangerous. I walk towards a hole in the wall and climb through.

"The coast is clear, come through," I say.

One by one, the group climbs through. The hole is big enough to get the horse and carriage through. We start walking to the other side of the forest.  As soon as we get to the other side, Oscar puts his stuff on the carriage.

"Put your stuff on the carriage and get in. I'll be driving for a while until we get to a camping spot, so get comfy," he says.

We all put our stuff in and sit inside. Dealan grabs some rope and starts making shapes with it, a pathetic attempt to entertain himself. I decide to give him his gift.

"Hey, Dealan, have this," I say, giving the action figures.

"I also got something for you," I say, giving Destiny the book, "you too," I give Leanna the piece of jewelry.

"Are you guys ready?" Oscar asks, getting on his horse.

"Yeah-"

"Wait!" I hear someone say.

We all turn to the sound.

"Wait!" they say again, "I need to leave with you."

They get to the carriage and we can finally see their face.

"Coral?" I ask. She's the fisherman's daughter. She usually works at the stand in the plaza along with her sister, who's standing next to her.

"Yeah, can I hitch a ride with you?" she asks.

I look at every one. They all seem to be okay with that.

"Sure," I answer.

"Thank you so much!" she says towing her sister behind her.

Coral and her sister, Melody, sit next to me.

"Okay, now is everybody ready?" Oscar asks again.

"Yup," I say.

As soon as Oscar starts moving the carriage, I get a thought.
