I guess it was a big day for me or well should be. I was running late to meet the new boyfriend. My mom went to a vid-con in Alabama visiting my late fathers family and met 'him'. He didn't have a name in the house yet. It will be a lovely surprise she exclaimed yesterday. It did matter to me though, well it took more of a toll than you would think. My name is Tana. I am a thirteen year old with a wild imagination so to speak. It had sent me to a mental hospital for three months last year. I doubt that he would understand until I found out details about him. I had made it to the phone in time to meet him over the phone once, mom yelled like never before for what answering her phone to reveal his name. All I saw was Tim S. Well today is the day I would meet this mysterious man.
I ran down the stairs dressed in a orange hoodie and my torn up jeans and my hair in a ponytail. "Is he here yet?" I asked looking out the porch window. My mother only laughed. She found my excitement funny, I can't blame her for that either . I never get excited like this anymore-unless it is Christmas- after the place of broken memories. That hospital treatment was nothing but horror for me and it didn't change much, I keep quiet about it now.as I was deep in thought I heard mom remind me to take my antidepressants.. I snapped out of my still state and went to take the pills. I swallowed the capsules like nothing. I was about to ask a question when I heard a doorbell ring twice. "I got it mom." I said opening the door to the porch. When I reached the stranger he seemed oddly familiar. "Can I help you ?" I asked as I opened the outside door. He saw my mom as she came up behind me. "Tana, this is my boyfriend Tim Sutton." She said startling me and then it clicked. He was my Masky. My whole world hit me harder than a metal bat and I did the worse thing possible, I fainted.
When I awoke in a backseat of a car. "Where am I ? What is going on." I asked still a bit shaky from passing out. My mother turned her head to comfort me. "Welcome to the Timman mobile kid." Tim said as I looked at him. I laughed blushing slightly. "I'm sorry for well passing out back there." I said sheepishly. He said nothing but looked at my mom oddly confused. "Who was she thinking I was? You didn't tell her a thing did you? Mary that is mean even for you." He said. I knew why mom didn't tell me, I wouldn't have been excited to meet him and ruin her fun. I looked to my side in the seat and saw an overnight bag. 'That's mine. Why in the hell... No not this ' i thought. I knew now where we were going. I realized my bag was the only bag in here. "Mom? Where am I staying at?" I asked slightly panicked. She said lightly,"You will be staying with Joseph and Troy until we get something finalized okay sweetie." We pulled up to a nice little house with one set of lights on. I assumed it was the living room and we parked. I walked in behind my mom telling myself to chill out. I had met Troy and Joseph, we played some old school dos-o-rama. My mom and Tim had left without saying goodbye or goodnight. I made a cocoon on the couch and fell asleep watching South Park. I wish I had gotten one last goodbye from her.
