Hailey's alarms went off to wake up. She rolled out of bed. It was seven, her and Ethan scheduled their breakfast date at 8. She had a quick shower and then got dressed. Her outfit consisted of a white cropped shirt with jeans and an cardigan. She let her hair do whatever it wanted, as she did most days.
When she looked in her full body mirror she hated the outfit. She sighed as she put on a black long sleeve body suite, with jeans over top. She decided she liked that much more. Hailey tied up her dr martens and checked the time. She had a couple minutes to spare. Hailey decided to put on a little makeup. She loved to wear makeup, but when she did she felt over dressed, it was weird. She just put on some concealer and some mascara.
Deciding it was time to go Hailey walking out of her flat and started to walk to the restaurant. It was actually owned by her roommate, who was out of town, but she new it was the best place around here. Ethan had never heard of, "OA" which was what the restaurant was called. Her roommate, Angie, named it after her parent's first initials, her dad being named Owen, and her mum Abigail.
She said small hellos to the workers and sat down in a two person booth. Of course she knew all the workers, as her best friend owns the place. Hailey was sitting in the booth freezing, she was so excited about there date, that she left her jacket at home.
Ethan strolled in and saw the brunette sitting at the booth. He greeted her with a hug which she gladly accepted. "So I've never heard of this place." He said.
Hailey smiled, "yeah it's actually owned by my best friend."
"Wow that's so amazing! I can't believe she runs her own restaurant!" He said in amazement.
"Yeah she's out of town right now, she's visiting her family in Germany right now." Hailey explained.
They continued their conversations as they are their breakfast. Hailey had never laughed this much, not only was he hysterical, but his laugh was extremely contagious.
"So you mentioned you family was from France! Could you elaborate? I love to hear more." Ethan said.
Hailey grinned, "of course, well I lived in Normandy for my whole time in France. Around the age of eight my dad got this really great job in London. So my family moved here. My mom really struggled to learn English, which led to some fights with my dad so they got divorced. She moved back to Normandy, leaving us with out dad. That's why I spoke french on the phone yesterday, my mom knows very little English."
"That's gonna be hard for when I meet her." He responded.
"You seem confident you will be meeting her." Hailey laughed.
"Well I have a good feeling about us, Hailey." He smiled at her. His smile. It made her heart melt a little.
"So what's your story with your family?" She asked.
"Well it's no where near as interesting as yours. My mom got pregnant and when she told my dad he left. I still don't know who it is." He spoke.
"Oh Ethan I'm so sorry!" She said.
"Oh no! It's fine seriously. I'm so much better without him." He responded.
The two sat there and talked for another hour. It was almost 10:30 when an alarm went off on Haileys phone. "Fuck!" She spoke. Ethan looked at her confused. "I have to leave to pick up my roommate from the airport! She's flying in from Germany!" She told him.
"Oh well that's okay! We can meet up another time!" He said.
As they were walking out of the restaurant Hailey said, "Ethan, I just want to let you know that I truly had an amazing time. I think you're hilarious and I really like you. I can't wait for our next date." He smiled at her. They made it to the exit and outside they hugged. Hailey started to walk away when he grabbed her arm.
"Hailey can I kiss you?" He asked quietly.
"Of course you can." She smiled. The kiss was sweet. It made Hailey genuinely smile. "You better text me!" She said whilst walking backwards.
"Hailey you're going to fall and die!" He laughed at the girl.
"Pull our your phone and text me right now!" She joked still walking backwards. Ethan laughed harder at the girl and sent her a quick text. He phone went off and she nearly fell over. He laughed more at her trip. "I'm okay!" She yelled at him, getting further away. Before she turned around she blew him a kiss, which he caught and showed her a smile.
