I couldn't help the feeling of being lonely, even though we aren't really friends. But still, three weeks is a while. And what's worse, Eris just sits by me, not speaking. However, I have felt with loneliness before, and I can do it again.
Right now, I'm once again in our hideout, sitting atop one of the stairs to the ballroom. Eris and I had taken turns guarding the tablet while the other would go and examine the room.
'If only...'
I took a moment to acknowledge the flat mound of duck tape.
'There was something to guard'
I don't know how, but in some brilliant moment of Eris-ness, Eris managed to get more duck tape. Not sure how, as we ran out after Eris's second turn of guarding. Then again, I learned something valuable from that situation. Well, two things.
Number 1: Eris, in times of crisis, will grow exceedingly cautious and paranoid.
Number 2: Eris has a whole supply closets' worth of tape, (specifically the quacking kind, but also some flex seal as well) rope, garbage bags, a variety of outdoor supplies that only swayed in the sharp department. There where also knifes, some swords (Eris swore those where there before. I call her bluff.) A few match box's with some multicolored lighters, as well as a small collection of fire arms, one in which was a shotgun. (Your arsenal of potential kidnapping & murder supplies aren't helping your case here, Eris.) A box of Kleenex, a first aid kit, a large beanbag (I can believe the beanbag part. That one makes sense.) And blackout curtains with some plastic covers for the chair.
In conclusion, Eris is someone I don't want to tick off. She also has appeared to have waterboarded someone, and judging by the blood on the shelves, they struggled.
You weren't even surprised, however. Why should you be? Even when that automatic shock pulled itself through your system, a deep, dark part of you felt the satisfaction of being right.
And of course, humans don't ignore the emotion they favor best.
Either way, it took you a good estimated 15 minutes to get her person away from the tape. Another 20 was devoted to the small, one question q&a that was held between the our opposing parties. From there, the rest of the comments passed between us were simple inquires about one another. I learned that Eris doesn't like talking about her past, is most definitely female, and that she observed me for a whole week before choosing to approach me. Meanwhile, she learned that I am non-binary, I was adopted into a large household along with many others, and much more. Why only much more? Because Eris has just come through the hall, and is making her way over to me.
"Ewa-san!"
"Little sis?"
"Oh good, you remembered! Listen, I have something to show you!"
"If it's more bloody weapons, I don't wanna know."
"Silly you! It's not that, but something bigger! You remember our elf acquaintance?"
"Elf? Wait, you mean the green person that came from your tablet?"
"Spot on, Ewa-san! Except, I found his name."
"What?!"
"And his information, as well."
"Lil-sis, how long where you holding this from me?"
"Only a week. I needed to verify the information! I wouldn't want to give you anything wrong!"
"Little sister, it's been three weeks since we've spoke."
