Jungkook and his mother were both anxiously waiting for the doctor in the waiting room. A lady soon called them. She led them to the doctor's office.

They sat down in the seats in front of the doctor's desk. The doctor let out a sigh as he took off his reading glasses. He pulled a file out of his desk. He layed it out in front of him. He opened it and looked over it. He soon nodded to himself.

He looked at them both in the eye before proceeding to talk. "As you may know, we are looking for a heart donor for Jungkook. If we are to find one, a surgery will take place of course. But there is a possibility that he might not make it. But we'll try everything to keep him alive. That's our job."

His mother was obviously scared, but she tried not to show it. What if the surgery failed. She tried not to think about the What ifs. She nodded in response to the doctor's words.

Not much was said after that. They shared a few words. Jungkook would put in his input over some things.

Afterwards they left the office. He and his mother both headed to the cafeteria. There they shared a couple of words. She then headed out, soon after giving him a kiss on his forehead.

He went to his room. He layed on his bed looking at the ceiling. He was so in thought. He sighed as he recalled the conversation earlier.

The doctor's words were ringing in his ear on a loop like a broken radio, "there's a possibility that he might not make it"

Jungkook snapped out of thought as he sat on his bed. He was wondering what Taehyung was doing right now.

He decided not to interrupt him.

He got up and went to the table by the door. He looked at several books before choosing one that might have him glued to it.

He read the summary in the back of the book and it peaked interest in him. So he opened it and started reading.

Jungkook sat on his bed as he read. At certain points in the book he would let out a laugh. At others he felt touched.
