Saturday Afternoon

I trust nobody. Well, almost nobody. The one person who I can fully trust is Bryan. He is my brother after all.

We look nothing alike, other than our blonde hair. I hate it though. Blonde hair and all of it's stereotypes. I would dye my hair, but I've had bad experiences before and just chose to deal with my natural color.

All of that is besides the point. My trust for anybody is very hard to manage. Maybe it's just the people I associate with. Maybe I just have bad judgment. That's why I simply shut most people out.

"Delaney Faith Odell did you eat my pudding!?"

Bryan yelled from outside of my bedroom door. I laughed and replied.

"Hell no. I don't need to get fatter. And call me Lane!"

I was lying though. I'm comfortable with my body for the most part and I did in fact eat his last pudding. It didn't have his name on it, so it wasn't fully his.

We share an apartment. I'm not 18 yet but our mom doesn't care.

"You're lying and I know it!"

Bryan yelled as he threw my door open.

"Fine. Yes I ate your last pudding. I'm sorry."

I batted my eyes and pouted my lip. He rolled his eyes and flipped me off before walking back down the hallway towards the living room.

I giggled and shook my head. He really is special.

I decided to spend a few more hours in bed. It's not like I had a life. I made my money off YouTube, but today is my day off.

My phone buzzed next to me, indicating a text.

~Johnnie Boy:
can I come over? ur bro isn't answering his phone. XP

I smiled and replied.

~Lane:
Of course. U don't have to ask u know. LOL

~Johnnie Boy:
hey cool. i know I was just wanted to make sure it was ight :p

I giggled to myself. Johnnie is crazy but you gotta love him.

Since Johnnie Boy was coming over I guess it would be a good reason to get out of bed and look like I actually kind of cared today.

I chose to wear my torn sun washed jeans with my oversized RIP Mitch Lucker t-shirt and my white chucks. I didn't have to impress anybody so I wasn't gonna try.

I made my way into the kitchen to find that Johnnie was already here, an already raiding my fridge.

"Good Morning."

I said in a somewhat happy tone. Johnnie jumped and spun around with an apple in his mouth. He smiled and waved at me.

"It's actually after 2 in the afternoon but good morning to you too Laney."

Johnnie calls me Laney. I don't know why but he's always called me that instead of Lane, like I prefer. But I wasn't going to correct him after all these years.

"My bad then."

I giggled and decided on a leftover piece of pizza for breakfast/lunch. Cold obviously.

Johnnie and Bryan were lounged out on the couch watching Dexter, taking up all of the room.

Fine.

I stood in front of the couch and they didn't even notice me. I turned around and faced the TV before flopping down onto Johnnie. He made an "uff" sound.
