Seungmin drags the massive box into the diner, falling on his butt since he let go.
"Seungminnie!"
The male squeaked and he quickly stood up, running to the front of the store. "Hey, Jinnie! What are you doing here, I was just about to go home," Seungmin says as he turns the male so his back faced the obvious box that was in the middle of the diner. "I was coming to pick you up...I texted you," Hyunjin says with a frown.
Seungmin takes his phone out and looks at the message. "Ah! I'm sorry, I got distracted," Seungmin says. Hyunjin just smiles. "It's okay, are you done? It...looks like everyone is gone," Hyunjin says as he looks around but Seungmin cupped his face and made him look at him. "I'll take my apron off and we can head home," Seungmin says.
Hyunjin nodded his head and pecked Seungmin's lips. "Stay right here," Seungmin says before running off. Hyunjin followed the order and stood in the spot, rocking back and forth on his heels.
They graduated high school and both of them got into the same college. The college wasn't far from the city so they moved in together in an apartment.
Hyunjin snapped out of his thoughts when he saw Seungmin walking over. "Minnie, your glasses," Hyunjin says as he walks closer, adjusting his boyfriend's glasses. Seungmin smiles and kisses Hyunjin who smiles. "Let's go home, I'm tired and I want some food," Seungmin says.
Hyunjin grabbed his hand with a smile. "Alright."
____
Hyunjin rested his head on Seungmin's lap as the male read aloud. A smile was plastered on his lips as Seungmin slowly started to run his finger's through his hair.
Seungmin glanced down at the male who was slowly drifting off to sleep. "Jinnie. Let's go to the room," Seungmin says as he closes his book. "No~ I wanna finish the chapter," Hyunjin whines. "Jinnie. We'll finish it tomorrow. My mom said I should stay home since I've been working all break," Seungmin says.
Hyunjin opens his eyes and looks at the male with a pout. "Don't pout at me. I'm not reading you a bedtime story. This already tired you out," Seungmin argues back. Hyunjin sits up and yawns. "Yeah. You're right," Hyunjin says.
Seungmin chuckles and kisses Hyunjin's cheek. "I need to brush my teeth. You go lay in bed," Seungmin says. Hyunjin hums and watches his boyfriend leave the living room. Hyunjin smiles and flops onto his back, letting out a sigh of content.
He closes his eyes and squeals quietly to himself.
Yes, they've only been dating since 11th grade but Hyunjin still got giddy every day about his boyfriend. Seungmin made him extremely happy and couldn't ask for anyone else. They've had their arguments but Hyunjin couldn't last 30 minutes without his Minnie and Seungmin was the same.
Hyunjin sighs as he opens his eyes again, yelping as he saw Seungmin standing over him. "Were you thinking about me?" Seungmin asks as Hyunjin sat up. "Maybe," Hyunjin answers with a smile. He stands up and picks up Seungmin.
Seungmin giggles and Hyunjin placed him down. Seungmin caught something in the corner of his eye and he walked over. "Awe. Jinnie look," Seungmin says as he grabbed the picture frame. Hyunjin walks over and smiles. "Remember you tried to convince the coach to have me in the picture," Seungmin says with a small laugh.
Hyunjin whines and hides his face. "Stop~ The guys made me," Hyunjin says. Seungmin chuckles and placed the picture back down. "Carry me."
Hyunjin scoffs and starts walking away. "Jinnie~" Seungmin whines as he walks after the male, jumping onto his back. Hyunjin chuckles and he enters the room. Seungmin dropped down from his back and walked over to the bed, flopping down.
Hyunjin flopped down next to him and got under the covers. "Goodnight, Jinnie."
____
The next morning, Hyunjin woke up to a cold, empty bed. He sat up so quickly he could've gotten whiplash but he didn't care. He quickly got out of bed and ran towards the kitchen, hoping Seungmin was there.
"Well someone is excited this morning."
Hyunjin smiles as Seungmin who looked at him after flipping the pancake. "Why weren't you in bed? I wanted cuddles," Hyunjin whines as he walks over. "Do you not know what today is?" Seungmin asks which earned a headshake from Hyunjin. "It's your birthday, you dummy," Seungmin says as he flicks Hyunjin's forehead. "It is?"
"This is the second time you have forgotten your birthday," Seungmin says with a sigh. "Go wait in the living room while I make breakfast," Seungmin instructs. Hyunjin looked at his boyfriend with puppy eyes. "Don't give me those eyes. It's a surprise,"
"But they're-"
"Hwang Hyunjin."
Hyunjin smiles and kisses Seungmin's cheek. "Okay, Minnie," Hyunjin says before he left the room.
Hyunjin looked over at Seungmin who walked over with a plate and a cup of coffee. "Awe," Hyunjin says as he looks at the pancakes. "'Cause everyone calls you a llama. You get llama pancakes," Seungmin says as he sits down. "Thank you~"
Seungmin giggles and kisses his cheek. "We're going to the mall with the others...or Changbin and Felix. I think the others had to do something b~ ut they will be at the party," Seungmin explains with a smile. Hyunjin hums as he started eating.
____
The mall wasn't crowded which surprised the group of four boys. Hyunjin bought himself things despite Seungmin saying he should since it is his birthday.
Eventually, Seungmin gave up on trying to convince his boyfriend to let him buy it and just enjoyed the time he had with the other three males.
"Minnie~ I'm tired," Hyunjin says as he hugs Seungmin. "Are you hungry?" Seungmin asks, looking at the other two. "Yeah!" Hyunjin says with a smile. "Great! Let's go to the diner. It's almost dinner anyway."
Hyunjin nodded his head and the four left the mall. They went to their separate cars and got in, setting their bags in the back seat. "The other guys are going to be there, right?" Hyunjin asks as he starts the car. "Yeah."
Hyunjin smiles and takes the Seungmin's hand, holding between them. "Okay! Let's go party~"
Seungmin rolls his eyes at the male and quickly kissed his cheek before the male left the parking lot.
They entered the dark diner which made Hyunjin frown. "I-"
"Happy Birthday!"
Hyunjin hides behind Seungmin who laughed, shaking his head. "T-They scared me," Hyunjin mumbles as he wrapped his arms around Seungmin's waist. "Whatever. Do you want food? We have pizza," Seungmin says which made Hyunjin let go of his boyfriend and went to where his old team was.
Seungmin chuckles and follows Hyunjin, smiling at his mom who had set up all the decorations.
"Cake time!"
Hyunjin whines as Seungmin puts a party hat on him. "Oh shush you big llama," Seungmin says as he places the cake in front of the male. "Did Jisung make this?" Hyunjin asks, eyeing the male who knew what he liked. "We get a free cake from him so yes," Seungmin says.
Hyunjin giggles and watched his boyfriend light the candles. Once he finished, he pulled the male to sit on his leg. Seungmin sighs and shakes his head, smiling since his mom was taking a picture.
After everyone sang happy birthday and Hyunjin blew out the candle, Seungmin took frosting onto his finger and drew a line on Hyunjin's forehead.
"Simba!"
Everyone laughed at Felix's shout, Changbin shaking his head with a sigh as he held Felix on his leg.
