Outside the Conference Room

Alfred's Pov:

'I couldn't stand them anymore. The arguing, the yelling, judgmental eyes... but mostly it was just the pity. I don't need it! I don't need their pity. I don't know why they think I need it, I stronger, smarter and have more emotional control over myself or hell, control even. I'm the world's superpower for god's sake! How do they forget that?! I can't stand it. I'm tired of this mask I'm wearing all the time, so screw it! They can deal with the real me.' I think with a cold smile at the end of my thoughts.

I continue walking down the halls towards my car in the parking lot. I get in and shut the door and proceed to drive myself home. My mind is almost completely blank except for keeping my eyes on the road and driving, but there's something else. Russia's words at the meeting.

'So the Russian does care... I wonder how much.' The thought about Ivan stayed in my head the whole time driving home... I mean... not that I mind... not one bit.

When I first step into the doors of my house I greeted with my states, but not only just the states, there was my territories and important place or things to my country like NASA or DC. They all had physical forms, not many people know about it, only the people I trusted most like Gilbert (Prussia) and a few others.

"How're you guys doin'?" I ask, allowing my accents to slip. Which causes them to laugh, with my country having different accents all over the place they can affect me but I'm pretty good at keeping them in check and only allow them to slip around people I trust or when I'm by myself. As I walk in my house everybody greets me and as I walk further into the house with my kids on my trail, I start smelling dinner.

"So whats for dinner guys?" I ask, walking into the kitchen and look over the stove and cooking materials to make sure they wont burn my house down... again. That was the night NASA and DC or should I say Nathan and Michaela weren't home.

"Were making tater-tots, buffalo wings and corn." Michaela said pushing up her glasses a bit.

"Sounds good. Now, what did you guys do today?" I ask looking over all my kids.

"Michael (Michigan) and Oliver/Ollie (Ohio) go into a fight about literally nothing, Flora (Florida) kept scaring Jamie (New Jersey) with alligators and Anthony (Alabama) was just being... well... Anthony." Nathan explained shaking his head slightly at the end of his sentence.

"So~... a normal day." I said continuing to look over the food with Louise (Louisiana) to make sure it didn't burn.

"Yeah, Pretty much." Noah (New York) said sitting down at the table and talking with Mia (Maine) about who knows what.

The food finished shortly after, me and some of the southern states started to set the table while the others sat down. I sat down with Emma (Hawaii) on my left and Liam (Alaska) on my right. They're my youngest states but they look about 12-14.

"A'right, dig in." I say gaining a few giggles among the crowd for my sudden change in accent.
