Chapter 2

Coral's POV
I walked out of the building and went into the car with Rachel.

"Wow, it's been a year since I went to LA," I said to Rachel.

"Really? I was just there for a show of mine," she replied surprised.

"Yeah, well I haven't been traveling as much lately."

"Oh yeah, I forgot. You were on a break."

"We're here," Bryce spoke.

"Already?" I questioned. I looked outside and saw the busy people.

"I guess we really are," Rachel said.

Bryce nodded.

I seriously can't believe I'm actually taking a public airplane. I want it to be just me and Rachel. Where I could have all the food and pleasure in the world. I hear my phone ringing and I shuffle through my little purse to find it. It was Allison, I really did not want to talk to her at this moment. I obviously declined. After an hour we got boarded on the plane, at least we were first class right?

I walked up the stairs an into the plane with Rachel. It was alright, my jet was much better than this. It will do for now. I started to find my seat, thankfully stupid Allison had us next to each other. I was very surprised to see that there weren't many people there, I could see a few young business people...maybe in their late 20s. One particular person caught my eye, he was very tall and he looked about my age. Rachel started to speak once she saw that someone caught my attention.

"He's a cutie, isn't he?" Rachel smirked.

"No, he's ugly," I scoffed.

"Yeah right, I know you think he's cute."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes. You're even blushing."

"No I'm not!" I felt my cheeks burning.

Rachel laughed and decided not to even bother to say anything after she saw that I knew she was right. Rachel quickly told me she was going to the bathroom.
I stared at him as he rocked his head to his headphones. He finally looked up and saw me.

"Um, hello?" He waved.

"Oh, hi," I replied while silently thinking I was so stupid.

"Oh my gosh, you're the Coral Sparks!"

"Yeah," I smirked, "I am." I take my title and status very highly. I mean I'm rich and famous why not?

I got a really good look at him and he looked really familiar. Like from Vine or something, maybe a few of my fans tweeted about him. His name was like, something that starts with an "S". He's not worth my time, if I don't know him, it's not worth it.

"I don't expect you to know me, but you might have seen you around. I'm Shawn."
YES! YES! YES! SHAWN MENDES!
"Oh, you're Shawn Mendes?"

"Wait. The Coral Sparks knows me?"

"Yes. Yes she does. I have social media, and you're on the popular page. I'm on it more, of course."

I could see Shawn bouncing up and down with his hands fanning himself.

"OH MY GOSH! I ALWAYS SEE YOU ON THE POPULAR PAGE LIKE OMG!!"

"I swear you have fangirl blood running through your veins."

Shawn laughed, "So, where are you headed to?"

"Why do you care?" I snapped.

"Wow okay, geez. Just wondering..."

"L.A., I'm going there for the TCA's," I answered. Nosy ass bitch.

"No way."

"Yes way."

"I'm going there too! I got nominated!" I think I almost forgot that TCA's are filled with amateurs.

"Really? What for?"

"Choice Viner and Web Star for music. I didn't win the vine award but I won the Web Star. They already pick the winners so it sucks, they basically vote for nothing. I think Cameron told me he got the award for Choice Viner in the mail."

"Well obviously, you should realize once you're famous, almost nothing will ever be fair for you. Get use to it buddy."

"No kidding, I went to this show because I wanted to see what it would be like and I think it'll be fun."

"Have you prepared a speech?" I asked.

"Yeah, about that, I don't really have a speech yet..." he chuckled as he looked around nervously.

Wow, such a total amateur. No wonder.
"Of course you didn't..." I snickered.

Shawn just rolled his eyes. "The thing is, my fans didn't do anything for this award for me. I just got it handed to me, yes they got me to where I am, I just wish that their votes actually really counted so they can be happy. They still will be, I think they'll find out though."

"They still will be so happy and proud, but knowing those friends of yours that are going to the show, I think once they find out that Cam didn't win the award he should've won, there's going to be shit flying around Twitter."

"Oh yeah, definitely. I don't mean to be rude, I love them, but they need to back up sometimes."

"They're so immature. They should know that they can't go around doing that kind of stuff."

"I've seen them too."

And at that moment, I see Rachel poking her head back from the bathroom to check on me. She walked down and smiled at Shawn and I.

"Whoa, aren't you Shawn Mendes?"
"Yeah I am," as he flashed one of his smiles. I think I just died.

No keep your act together Coral! I mentally scolded at myself.
"I'm Rachel. Rachel Blue." Rachel replied.

"You know, I've actually seen your line at stores. It's pretty cool."

"Really? Thank you so much!"

"I'm really tired, you guys go ahead and talk." I said. I don't have time to talk to people who aren't even famous. I don't even know why I was talking to him for like 2 minutes. EW.

"You're really funny, we should talk more often. Can I have your number?" Shawn asked.

I think my heart just died. Wait no it didn't. I don't even like him.

"No, why would I do that to a total stranger? Just because you're half famous doesn't mean you can get anyone from anything. Especially from me. The Coral Sparks. Who is fully famous." I scoffed.

Rachel shot me a look. I saw the the hurt expression on Shawn's face, I felt bad but, a queen always has to keep her head up high.

"Of course she would LOVE to give you her number!" Rachel forced.

"Yeah actually she wouldn't so shut up. I'm going to the bathroom!" I shouted. I turned around on my way and I see Rachel giving him my number. Thank god I will be out of this plane soon.

I love Shawn and I think he's amazing and he's going to get super far in life. I don't mean everything I say in the beginning. I want to express the fictional character "Coral's" feelings towards Shawn. The thoughts that Coral are thinking are definitely not true.
