"what are we doing here, again?"

"I told you! were trying to build a cure to this stupid virus, or at least a vaccine or something!" said the man

"what if ...' they' come" said the young man. Still had pimples on his face and everything.

"who?!" said the man. He was wearing a lab coat and gave the air of a scientist, he was a grumpy old man and had black and white stubble on his chin.

"you know! The Half-walking!" the boy said in a very shy tone.

the half-walking, they can hide in plain sight or stick out like a sore thumb, their humans with advanced technological abilities and they're extremely deadly. They were called Half-Walking because their packed with so much tech that they should be dead, but instead, their faster, sharper, and even more deadly. Their abilities vary from which one you talking about, but some of the ability's that all of them are super regeneration, enhanced eyesight, and an... "understanding" with all technology. They can also look up anything on the web with their minds and you may never know.

"Yes, that might be a problem, but they will never know." said the old man

from outside the building "actually, old man, they already know."

"What the... Shit, one of them is here!" said the old man.

"oh no, one of them is here! He's going to kill us! Which one is it?" the young man asked

the old man had run into a room and gotten on the security cameras "I can't tell" on the monitor, there stood what looked like a robot, but was actually one of the half-walking. "The techno, I think!"

"The techno! Man this is bad!" The techno was supposedly the worst of the Half-Walking, of course, that was just a hunch because nobody has ever lived to tell the tale of what he can do. Supposedly one of his abilities was nanites, a super-advanced tech that can make anything, the half walking gets some of their powers from them, but the techno has complete control over them.

on the camera, the techno walk through the blast door, and by through, I mean the door wasn't even open and he seemed to walk straight through it. "this is bad, really bad!" said the old man

Techno's POV

I can see everything, the infrared vision was helpful, they were about 4 rooms down the hall, on the left, looking at a computer, probably connected to a camera that was looking at me. I found the camera and shot my arm out, sending out a stream of nanites at the camera, smashing it to bits.

I could still heir the men "shit, he destroyed the camera" said the old man

"We need to hide," said the young man

"There is no hiding," I said, I knelt down to the floor, touched my hands to the floor and sent out my nanites through the ground, straight at the young man. When they got right under him, I turned them into a spike and speared him through the middle.

The old man turned around and saw the young man being stabbed with the spike "shit!" He ran out a side door to the outside.

I gave a sigh and said "please don't run, you can't escape." started to walk out the blast door again and saw him running across the parking lot to his car. I sighed again and continued to walk

"So we meet again" said a female voice.

I turned and saw the huntress "so we do!" Just then I heard a tire squeal as the old man started to drive away "Hold on, please."

I turned and knelt again, sending out more nanites. When they got under the car that was going about 60 mph and was 200 yards away, they jammed the wheels and the car stopped instantly, I used the nanites to fill the car and crush the man inside. The Huntress was watching the whole time "nice."

"What do you want?" I said

"We should talk," she said

"Your right we should, but not right now. By the way, where's your dog, and your bow?" The Huntress had a wolf that could commune with other wolves and... "control" them in a sort, its name was the great alpha. She also had a very large compound bow that was made out of titanium alloy and she was the only one that could pull it, nanites made the arrows for her as she pulled the bow. neither of which seemed to be around.

"I thought you couldn't talk?" she said

"Just... where are they? those are important!" I said

she reached behind her and pulled 2 little metal spheres off the bottom of her nanite quiver. she threw one of them which lunged out into the wolf with teethed bared which she calmed with a command sent to her dog through their mental connection, the dog calmed down and sat down, looking more majestic than an actual wolf. The other sphere, she jerked in her hand and it unfolded into her bow.

"Wow, that's new" I said.

"Ya just got the upgrade a couple of days ago," she said

"well, it's been fun but I have to go," I said as turned and started to walk away to the woods

"But wait, I have to talk to you about..."

"look, I'd love to and all, but I have to go, so I will talk later" I said over my shoulder as I disappeared into the woods and melted into the shadows.
