Dark. All Bracken saw was darkness. How? How did he come here? A low bellowing chuckle came from the corner of his cell. "Ronodin!" Bracken exclaimed.
"Hello there dear, weak, cousin." Ronodin gave Bracken a sarcastic pout.
"Kendra...", Bracken trailed off into silence.
"Oh I see, you are worried what your girlfriend will say when she sees you failed." Bracken paused.
"She will come and save you and you can live happily ever after!", Ronodin exclaimed mockingly.
Bracken was too devastated to make a comeback. Ronodin was right. He was weak.
Ronodin waited for a long anticipated answer. There was none.
"I'll see you soon Bracken."
Ronodin brushed past him and whispers as quiet as possible, "you know what I want".
Bracken shuddered as he knew what his life would cost. And it would be the hardest thing he had ever done.
