hueningkai looked into the mirror and giggled to himself, squishing his cheeks as he tried to contain a squeal. his cheeks were rosy red and nothing seemed to be able to take him out of his giddy mood.
"oh you've got it bad," bahiyyih smirks as she digs into her pockets and pulls out a piece of paper. "here, take this. your boytoy came around asking me to give this to you."
hueningkai snatches the paper away and immediately skims through it. it read:
ningning,
meet me where we first met.
love,
gyu hyung.
hueningkai's cheeks go red, remembering the first time he had ever met beomgyu. they were both so little, it seemed like only yesterday though.
everyone was playing on the playground, laughing and running around; except for a particular brunette. he was sitting down, calmed down, reading a good book. his friends were horsing around, but he decided that day to just rest.
minutes had pasted before something hard hit hueningkai, making his head throb and his eyes water. a boy ran over to hueningkai, crouching down to get the ball when they finally made eye contact.
the blonde is astonished by the beauty of the boy reading the book underneath the tree. he had the prettiest pink lips, softest smooth cheeks, and most of all, the clearest stary eyes ever.
"your eyes are pretty," a blonde-haired boy complimented, looking into the taller boy's orbs. "i like them."
"t-thank you." the tall boy blushed, making the blondie's heart go crazy. he liked making the boy flustered.
"my name is beomgyu," the shorter extends a hand to shake the others hand. "i'm sorry about hitting you with my ball."
"it's okay, my name is hueningkai." the taller smiles, revealing his pearly white teeth.
"i was wondering..." beomgyu started, studying hueningkai's face intently. "would you let me sit with you?"
"of course," hueningkai giggles, his rosy cheeks even more rosier. "i'm a bit boring though..."
"no no no, you're not," beomgyu insists as he curls up next to hueningkai. "i like this feeling."
"me too!" hueningkai beams as he rests his head on the shoulder of the practically stranger. but he sure didn't feel like one.
"where did you guys exactly meet?" bahiyyih takes hueningkai out of his flashback.
"that's for me to know, and for you to never find out." hueningkai smirks as he runs off to the old elementary school him and beomgyu hyung met.
once he makes it there, he is surprised to see a book laying right by the tree he and beomgyu met; the moment they both felt a spark between each other. he looks around for any sign of his hyung and grabs the book, flipping the pages around as a wave of nostalgia hits him.
a note falls out of the book, which he immediately picks up and reads.
