The boy groaned as he slammed down his pencil. His ideas just seemed to stop flowing out of you suddenly. Staring down at the slightly damaged piece of paper, he tried to read your illegible writing, "Fuck.. I should've just done this on the computer."
His legs pushed him and his rolling chair away from his paperwork and towards the direction of his desktop computer. The screen slept as he impatiently tapped the space bar, attempting to wake it up faster. His brunette hair currently tied up in a small sprout to get it out of his face.
After inputting his password, he scanned the icons in search of his trusted notepad app. His eyes froze when he noticed an unfamiliar icon in the neglected corner of the screen. Reading the title, he began to mutter to himself, "I don't remember downloading this..?"
Unable to fight his curiosity, he clicked on the icon. The retro-styled letterings reading 'Nostalgia' made its way onto the screen the words 'NEW GAME' flashed, begging him to select it. He did so, watching a loading bar climb its way to completion.
"Huh..." He couldn't help himself as he exhaled, astonished at how such a authentic retro game was downloaded onto his computer. After the loading bar was finished, a black screen with simple lettering appeared, "Choose a starting class...?"
He scanned his options. Royal, Thief, Knight, Mage, Hunter, Medic. Shrugging, he picked the 'Royal' option. It then transitioned to different paths he could take underneath the class of Royal.
"Disgraced Royal? Interesting.." He read the description. 'A young person of Royal Blood whose father has been framed by your corrupt uncle, the Reigning King. Driven by revenge since youth, it became your mission to reclaim the throne.'
He clicked the 'Start Game' button, and the world went dark.
