"Welcome to my house, kid."

In front of the two was a naturally stunning cabin, with humble vines climbing the walls. Joseph stared in awe at its beauty, "It's very beautiful.."

Arthur was about to respond when their door bursted open, a blonde male seemingly taller than Joseph called out, drying off his hands, "Father! What took so long?! Got lost?"

Joseph chuckled as Arthur helped him off of the horse, "Hardly! Though there was a little situation I couldn't ignore."

It seemed the blonde finally noticed the extra presence, who was a slightly grimacing Joseph. A small smile quickly overtook the grimace as he made eye contact. Curious emerald met with a secretive sapphire. The blonde waves stopped shortly above his eyebrows, at least before he pushed it out of his face.

"Oh! Forgive me for my manners, I'm Spencer, this old timer's son. You are?"

His voice was melodic, yet as humorous as his fathers, "This is Joseph, I found him injured on the road on the way back. I did my best to try and fix up his ankle, but we both know how that went."

A teasing smile formed on the younger male's face, "Are you sure you helped him? I've seen Orc's who could do a better bandaging than this." He quickly walked towards the two as he gingerly escorted him away from the embarrassed father.

"You're lucky we have a guest, Spence! I'd put you in a chokehold in an instant!" The man threatened playfully as the two young men entered the humble cabin.

Joseph chuckled as Spencer shut the door, "Sorry you had to deal with him, he can be.."

"Quite the funny guy."

A chuckle escaped the male, "Yeah, something like that. How did you get injured, Mister Joseph?"

Joseph blinked, not quite sure how the injury happened himself. Smiling, he looked towards the blonde male, "I'm not sure, I woke up on a random path in the woods with a hurt ankle."

"Huh.. That's weird. Do you remember anything else?" Joseph could sense his genuine concern as he pulled out a roll of bandages.

A shrug was all he could manage as he inspected the swollen ankle Spencer had started wrapping up, "Just my name, Joseph Cheng, and some childhood memories."

Spencer visibly tensed at the name, but continued to wrap the ivory haired male's ankle, "Cheng, huh?" A strained chuckle left him as he looked up to Joseph, "I should've guessed that with that hair."

A hand went up to his unkempt hair, it felt so foreign to him. The unpigmented locks had an obvious effect on everyone he'd encountered so far. A few minutes passed with awkward banter scattered throughout. He fingers tapped anxiously on the wooden chair as Spencer finished wrapping the bandage, "I apologize.."

"For what?" Spencer asked, seemingly unbothered by the silence.

Joseph looked away bashfully, "I didn't mean to cause any discomfort."

A small chuckle escaped the boy as he sat next to the anxious male, "I should be the one apologizing. I shouldn't be judging who you are based on your last name. If I were to do that, I'd just be a hypocrite."

Confusion graced Joseph's features before he remembered Arthur mentioning Spencer's mother was a dark mage. She must've not been very popular with the people surrounding them.

Joseph smiled slightly and lightly placed his hand on Spencer's shoulder, "I've heard only good things about your mother. She seemed like a very kind person."

A light pink spread on the male's cheeks as Joseph retracted his hand, "She really was." The two fell into a more comfortable silence than before, making Spencer ask the next question, "How about your father? Do you remember what kind of man he was?"
