Jasper's POV

My eyes opened suddenly, taking a moment to get used to the light seeping through the curtains in the room I was in. I sat up in bed, my hair cascading over my shoulder. I yawned, scratching the mess of white hair on my head. It was still constrained to one place, but the patterns the human did on the side weren't as neat as before. I glanced over to the other bed in the room to see a small lump. She's still asleep... I swung my legs over the edge of the mattress, allowing my bare feet to touch the soft floor. I stood and stretched, a quiet groan escaping my lips. I looked over to the sleeping human, making sure I hadn't awoken her. You're going soft, Jasper. I chuckled at my thought, making my way to the connected bathroom. I wanted to take a shower, feeling as though it would give me energy. But the contraption at the human's house back in Beach City was different from the one here. I walked into the tiled enclosure, not bothering to close the door behind me. I slid the glass door open, stepping in to inspect the knobs that turned on the water. I decided to try the right one first. It had an orangey-red line on it, which was close to the color of the stripes on my body. I turned it, smiling when the water turned on. I put my hand under it like I saw the human do before, and once I was satisfied with the temperature, I stripped from my clothes and got under the water. I exhaled slowly, relishing the feeling of the hot water as I let it run down my face and into my hair.

After a moment of just standing in the water, I decided to get to washing. I grabbed the bottled soap from the rack attached to the wall beside me, looking around for a towel to put it on. "Damn," I mumbled under my breath, looking to the cabinets above the porcelain seat. Light engulfed my arm for a moment, and I effortlessly opened the cabinets from my position, getting what I needed. "Gotta love being a gem...," I chuckled to myself, resuming my shower.

Once I finished my shower, I stepped out of the steaming prism, reaching for a towel to dry myself. I wrapped the soft material around my body after drying my hair, tiptoeing my way back into the room. The human was still sound asleep, so I quickly went to the closet, yanked my clothes out, and rushed back to the bathroom. I closed the door behind me, dropping the towel onto the floor. Stepping into the green shade of pants, I pulled them over my thick legs, pushing my arms through the black shirt next. Now here comes the tricky part...buttons. I fumbled with the small circular pieces, sighing once I got the last one into its designated hole. I looked at myself in the mirror, cringing at my messy hair. I pulled at the flexible constraint that tied my hair back, setting my locks free. I placed the broken object onto the bathroom counter, shrugging. I walked silently through the room again, closing the door softly behind me as I stepped into the hallway. I hadn't developed a plan once I got into the living area of the house. Maybe watch some TV? I don't have anything else better to do. My feet padded across the hard floor of the hallway, my legs carrying me to the living room. I stopped at the corner, my ears twitching slightly at the noise coming from the TV. Is she already in there? I began to become nervous, my face boiling. I turned to go back to the room but was stopped dead in my tracks by someone calling my name.
