CHAPTER 5 (M)

Jennie POV

You know when people told me what is the meaning of elegant, gorgeous, lovely and alluring, I will always say that it does not exist. Not until I saw her, the woman that is tall enough for me, her hair is so smooth and radiant. With a little bit of bang covering her forehead, she looks dazzling.

I first saw her in the Asian gathering my mom forced me to attend because she said I should know people around me. Jisoo was also there but she is busy eyeing this one tall woman with blonde hair. I know the name from my mom, Chaeng. She looks really fun to hang out with but she is oblivious about my sister loving her from far.

While I was sipping my wine that day, I saw a pair of Doe eyes looking at me straight. It penetrates through the crowd and my heart beats rapidly suddenly. I smiled at her and she averted her eyes. How cute! I saw she is dancing with Jungkook, my cousin while laughing and suddenly another guy took her with him. I squeeze my glass tighter as I can see her discomfort hanging out with that guy but at the same time I saw someone was looking at her, maybe her mom who wants her to marry that guy. From far, I can smell her gay radar with that shirt and jeans she’s wearing. No way she’s straight.

I saw that guy keeps on talking and she just nods not caring about anything. Once the music stop, she quickly released herself and I can see her eyes roamed around looking for something. It hits me when I realize that she is searching for me. When our eyes met, I purposely showed my gummy smile for her to fall for it. She smiled back at me and just went off the door looking at something. It looks like a pager. Is she a Doctor or something? I wonder but all I know, I kind of like her already.
I saw Jisoo was about to go out and called for her. She said she got an emergency at the hospital with Lisa. Who is Lisa? I was about to ask her who is Lisa when…

“You must be wondering who is Lalisa Pranpriya Manoban right? She is working with me as a surgeon and I know you’ve been eyeing her from the start. FYI, she’s Gay but her mother refused to accept her sexuality and I think she likes you too. Jungkook told me!” Jisoo was giving me too much information but of course I am not complaining. I want to know more about this Lisa. Who is she? Why is she so shy?

I just nod at Jisoo and she kissed my cheeks saying goodbye.

The second time I met her is at the Hospital. I was supposed to meet with Jisoo after work as I am her designated driver for that day. That particular time, I wanted to have some candy and Jisoo told me there’s one at the vending machine and showed where to go from my current location.

I was there when I saw a tall woman sticking her hand inside her pants looking like she’s rubbing her butt. I wanted to laugh but then I saw her. Lalisa Pranpriya Manoban. The woman of my dream.

“Need a change for that vending?” I asked her just to make sure she looked at me and she did. Her cheeks were red of embarrassment but still smile at me. That smile is a killer smile and I can melt just by the look of it.

“Are you sick?” That is the first question she asked me. She must be surprise seeing me here. Well I am too. I know she is the shy kind and that’s why I approached her first. I was chuckling while I said ..

“No silly, I am not sick. I am here to visit my sister Jisoo. We should go back together” I explained this to her so that she knows who I am. By the look at her face, she seems to know my name. I guess she did some research about me too. So I am not alone in liking each other.

“Oh that’s okay, I don’t want to trouble you anyway” Shyly she answered me but her eyes are ogling the candy. She is hard to resist really!

“No, I insist! You’ve been working and you look like you need some sugar in your body” I answered this with my biggest smile and she began to put it in and I stop her before she choose her candy.

“Is that all you eat? That is so small, choose this one” I choose a bigger one for her. She looked surprise but liking my choice at the same time. She looked impress with my choice and took my chocolate to eat. How adorable can she be?. Her eyes are mesmerizing opening wide enjoying the chocolate.

“Don’t forget to eat that and see you later Lisa! I’m Jennie by the way and nice to meet you!” I told her off and bid my farewell to go back to Jisoo. I kind of forgot to even buy the chocolate after seeing her. Oh I am in love all right and I will make sure she noticed me soon.
So that is what I did today. I fold a paper into half and sticked 50 cents for her change. I know not many people knows about this vending machine and I got gut feeling that she will be the one opening it. I put my own note inside and went to my dancing class.

When my class ended, I kind of forgot about me asking her to meet me as I was busy practicing my next ballet. I walked out of the dancing studio and talked to couple of my friends. That’s when I saw someone hiding behind a lamp post. As if it will hide that person but I know from far it’s MY LISA. My Lisa? How possessive I am? Who cares.

I walked crossing the road and approached her. She smiles at me and we both laugh at the joke I made. I invited her to my apartment to get to know her. But deep in my heart, I know I want more. She is so addictive; I can’t wait to test my luck tonight.

Both of us reached my apartment after 15 minutes ride from the subway. I opened the door and showed her my apartment. Her expression shows how she really likes my apartment. I made some tea and open the sliding door connecting to my veranda.

It’s a chilly night and while we drink our tea, we got to know each other more and better. I got to know she is one of the best surgeons in the hospital alongside Jisoo. And she knows I am a professional Ballet dancer and at the same time I taught small kids how to do ballet. She finds my job really interesting and its great talking to someone who understands. We keep on talking and having fun with each other's presence until I started telling her some things she will remember for the rest of her life.
