BZZZZ! BZZZZZZ. BZZZZ? (Hello! welcome. Ready?)

The author of this book learned this story from her friend, a bee from littlewood hive. The author is also fluent in Bee-ese, AKA BZZ-ZZZ, which is what the native bees call it. For general purposes, This book has been translated to american english. Enjoy! The narration starts at  the bee's birth!

I was born curious. And small, don't forget small.

Yes. I was one of the smallest baby bees to ever be born. My name was Basil.

My ma, Silver, or Silvey for short, always said she named me that beecause(A/N See what I did there? get ready for some more bee puns you'll have to spot later.....) she loved the smell of the basil leaves growing around the hive.

I opened my delicate eyelids carefully and took in my surroundings. I was in my parent's honeycomb cell. No, they aren't in prison, (A/N do bees have prisons?) that's what you call the hexagons in honeycombs. I was sitting on a small leaf bed. Each cell was small, but there isn't a way to change it. Unlike fourlegs(humans), we bees try our best to be humble and don't have a hunger for bigger houses. There is currency though- our treasured possession, honey. Honey droplets can be exchanged for decor, like leaves or wall-flowers.

I flicked my wings but calmed as my mother began to sing soothing wing-songs (made from wing vibrations). I fell asleep once more.

"Basil, it's time to go down to the schoolgardens."

"I know ma, but.. well.. I'm not quite excited for gardenclass..."

"You have to know how to pollinate or else you'll never earn any honey. This is for your own good. Now buzz off! Have a great day!"(A/N Bee pun there, if you see this symbol # there is a bee pun)

"I know, bye."

I flicked my wings and began to hover. I dove out the hive and landed on an open daisy. I fluttered over to the large log where gardenclass wass held, but there was no one there. I carefully set my small feet down on the dirt and crawled through the doorway.

But there was no one there.
